Magnify the Apostle – Gerald Waterhouse

March 14th, 1981            

Well you heard the opening prayer, Mr. Armstrong is on his way to I guess, he would be on his way, maybe already in Denver at the present time up there preaching this Sabbath.  I hope most of you at least a good percentage of you were able to go over and see him in Big Sandy two Sabbaths ago now and realize he's not old and senile and dead and someone else is running the work.  I spent quite a number of days with him, several hours a day.  I'll assure you that those of us who are close to him and whom he's using to assist him.  We have no doubt about who is behind him and we stand in awe and fear of that Great God that has raised him up first of all and then us through him for a great purpose.  I feel it a great privilege to have the opportunity of going around and sort of amplifying on the position, God has placed him in. 

Down in Australia, we had quite a bit of flack from the dissidents who had stirred up a number of the people there.  I spent 3 months going all over the country.  I preached as many as seven times to some of those large congregations like in Melbourne or Sidney or Brisbane.  Of course, they would come onto some of these comments you know that to a carnal mind might sound somewhat plausible, 'O you worship a man.'  Mr. Fahey and I said we had never bowed our knees before Mr. Armstrong.  We pray to the living God, but we know through whom he works and the degree of respect toward God is only that degree that we show to his servant.  You can't respect God unless you respect the one He's working through.  There's no way.  Christ said if they won't hear you, they won't hear me.  They won't hear my father.  So if anyone says well I'll just bypass Mr. Armstrong and Christ and I'll go right to the Father.  The Father says I won't hear you.  You've got to hear my son and Christ says I won't hear you unless you hear my servant.  So you don't respect God unless you respect where He is working.

HOLY APOSTLES

So I was telling some of them down there, now that's an excuse to take the opposite reaction and to wipe your feel all over him, you see.  Those who want to wipe their feet on him and of course use those kind of arguments.  'Oh, you don't want to worship a man.'  Certainly not!  But you better worship the God and you better highly respect the one through whom He works.  So I turned to some of those scriptures like in Romans 11 verse 13 where Paul said I magnify my office.  Now that should be self-explanatory.  Even Paul had to magnify the office because the office was of God and Paul says I magnify my office.  So one of my jobs I guess the main aspect of my job is to magnify the office because the office is of God. 

I turned back to Ephesians 5 (chapter 3 verse 5) on them.  I showed where God called them his Holy Apostles.  He didn't call them His unholy apostles, His dirty apostles, His sinful apostles.  He said my Holy Apostles because God works by way of his Holy Spirit and wherever God's Holy Spirit is that's Holy.  Do you know that?  Do you know one time Moses was walking out by this bush and Christ was of course in that Bush and Moses stopped to look and Christ said Get your feet off, your shoes off.  Well not his feet, that'd be kind of hard to do.  Get your shoes off Moses because this is Holy ground.  Now that ground wasn't Holy of itself, it was Holy because God's presence was there.  Get the point.

Now when God moved out, that ground was no longer Holy.  Moses didn't say I'm going back to the Holy ground and to the Holy bush.  It was only Holy as long as God's presence was there.  So whenever God's presence comes into a man then that creates the holiness.  Now God's Sabbath is not Holy because it just happened to be Holy.  It's Holy because God puts His Holiness into it every Sabbath.  It's not just automatic.  That's where God puts his Holiness and that's why it's the Holy Sabbath.  It wouldn't be Holy except God puts His Holiness into that time as it goes around the earth.  Then those who are involved in his way law partake of that direction by way of his Holy Spirit.  As a collective group of people around the world that are involved in where God is working through that Holy Spirit.  The rest of the world doesn't recognize its Holy so they don't get any blessing from it.  They think it's just another day.  It's a day for extra shopping, to get ready for sports.  Get ready to go out and play golf.  Get geared up for the Lord's Day and that's when you go out and play golf or something else you know.  Or you go down to a brief meeting to pacify God.  You put in your time.  Sort of like a convict.  Once you get that time in Sunday, then you can feel relief and free for the rest of the week because you paid God his due, you know.  I hope that we don't have that kind of an attitude toward God.

Then I went to John 14 where Christ said (verse 12) …and greater things than these shall you do because I go to my Father in Heaven.  Why Christ through Mr. Armstrong today, is accomplishing so much more than He Himself did by reaching people, He reached only a maybe a few hundred thousand.  He could only be heard in the audience, you know, the hearing of his voice.  He didn't have Radio, Television.  He didn't have a G-2.  He had a jackass, a democrat.  He didn't have a way to print and publish what he had stated to a worldwide audience.  Christ had 12 Apostles and they could only reach a very small number of people because it was by you know word of mouth.  They didn't have amplification.  Christ knew in this end time generation he would have television, radio, printing press, rapid transportation, worldwide communication.  He could work through one man and build one worldwide work. 

You couldn't do it through 12 men unless they are all absolutely subject to one and they're carrying out what Christ reveals to him because everyone, no two people think alike.  You husbands and wives know that better than anyone.  That's why there has to be government, so you can walk together and speak the same thing.  So that the only way we can have a worldwide work, is to recognize where Christ works and then submit to it.  The degree we do that is the degree by which we speak the same thing.  Of course, those that disagree with that, God is fleshing out.  He's got to get rid of them.  He can't stop.  He's not going to quit his plan.  He says I'm going to stop and Christ says why, Father.  He says some of those people won't agree with me down there.  So I'm not going to build my family after all.  I'm just going to give up.  It's a lost cause.  God isn't going to stop for anyone.  What he does is just leave the ones behind that don't want to follow Him.  Get the point.

A FAMILY OF EDUCATORS

Then he ends up with a family who wants to follow him forever.  He doesn't have a lot of sour pusses in there who are walking on their lower lip.  Can you imagine how far you could stretch your lower lip down into eternity?  I remember when I was a little boy.  I went to carnivals you know and they had these Africans you know, that could put a wooden plate in their mouth.  They could stretch their lips out like that and that's only in a few years.  Can you imagine if you were walking on your lower lip, how long?  God would have to create lip rollers to come behind these sour ones in his family to roll the lips up.  Pretty soon, you'd have to have galaxies just for lips, the lip galaxy.  God doesn't want a lot, you know.  Can you imagine how the face would be distorted walking on your lower lip here dragging and the longer it gets the more you have to drag.  You'd finally, you know, you'd look like you were going to turn a somersault. 

God doesn't want those in this family so its up to us to smile and look up above and as Christ said when you see these things come to pass don't look down walking on your lower lip, but rejoice for you know that the Kingdom of God is nigh.  We're the only ones that can face the world with confidence.  Others if they have any smiling, it's because it's the thrill of the moment but they're blind in their eyes to what's going on around the world.  They have to kid themselves but we know, we should and we should know that we know what's going on is all going to turn out good. 

I haven't heard Mr. Armstrong very often on broadcast because I'm usually speaking every night and I've been over seas.  I was over seas 6 months and 3 days but the past 3 or 4 days, I've heard him out of Tulsa at 11:30 at night the programs are those that were recorded in his campaign over in Manila.  Talk about strong.  They are powerful.  Boy, he was calling those Philipinos to repentance.  He said I don't want you to walk down the sawdust trail but you had better repent of going the wrong way because time is short.  So God's stirring him up to begin to tell people you'd better repent because the time is coming when you're going to really be punished if you don't because there's a Great Tribulation right down the road and it's not many years off.  There's going to be a lot of sad people.  Some that have been in God's church that are going to wish they had not put off and neglected salvation and those that do are going to rejoice. 

Just think about you know this deacon back here at the door and I said if we exercise vision, can you see what that's going to do when we get down to the place of final training.  We're going to have a lot of key men that have already proved themselves to help direct the traffic, direct activities.  Because when God collects His people from all around the world maybe 2 or 3 hundred thousand, God may give tremendous growth in the very last six months to a year to his Church and I think He will.  When you count all of these people from around the world and I've just gone around for my eleventh time.  It's a pretty big old world and it's getting shorter all of the time, you know, smaller all of the time because plane travel faster.  This was my 6^th world tour in all those, some of those were connected with being in England or Australia or the Philippines or South Africa. 

Then since January of 1966, I've been taking world tours, showing slides, speaking, conducting studies, spokesman club activities and so forth.  Of course, as the number of churches increased I had to drop various activities.  First, I dropped the slide activity and then I dropped the bible study activity.  As far as you know, for one church.  You used to go to a church and conduct a slide activity, a bible study, a spokesman club activity and a sermon.  But we only had you know, 100 and something churches then.  As the churches increased, I couldn't reach and do that with every church and reach two churches a week it would take forever to get around the world.  Two churches a week would take a year to get around the world if you reached one, you know, two every.  Well, it would take a lot longer than that, 52 weeks in the year.  It would take about, whew, how many years would that take?  It would take about 12 years wouldn't it to reach the world.  Well give or take if I'm off a thousand or so, forget it.  It's not that important.  You don't have to know that to get into the kingdom. 

I'm glad we don't because I've forgotten.  I don't want to try figure it out up here but.  So as the number of churches increased, I dropped off the slide activity then the spokesman club activity, the bible study.  Of course for each church in that sense and now through the week I conduct bible studies but for different churches.  It's not a doubling up on activities for a particular church.  So I've just completed this last world tour.  I was here almost 2 years ago.  Maybe some of you were here.  I went through some of the same things that I'm going to cover today 'because it don't change.  It's too bad.  Now there were some people who heard me two years who are not here.  They've got caught in a terrible awakening in the near future. 

So we need to have open ears and we need to hear with understanding and realize we're not dealing with a man.  We are dealing with a most High God.  That God is demanding respect.  He will bring no one into his family who's going to try to wipe his feet on Him and His way of life and his great heritage or his great possessions.  We've got to respect them, so I've been able on this last tour to try to stir up the people in that regard.  In the past two years, I've reached 550 Churches since I've visited you.  That's been two years.  So I've not just retired.  I haven't gone to sleep.  I do occasionally, usually every night, but I mean I haven't just gone to sleep. 

You don't reach 550 Churches.  I've reached 333 in the US, 67 in Canada.  I started to say Canadia, Canada, and then 150 overseas, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Kualalampore, Bombay, Sri Lanka.  Do you know where that is?  That's down in old Ceylon near Colombo, and then South Africa, and Zimbabwe, and Kenya, way up in Maaroo Kenya.  Way about 150 miles, well not quite that far, but over 100 miles, kind of north and east of Nairobi, and got Brethren there God's training us to help us clean up the rest of those people in that area of the World in the World Tomorrow.  They have to understand them, because I don't.  I didn't grow up in that area.  But God's got people there who do represent them that He's grooming to help reeducate the World.  So when I go there, I don't look and say well these people couldn't do anything, certainly not.  I can't either, nor can you, but God through us can. 

He's going to make us all educators, if we hang on to the end.  Then He's going to have quite a witness to the World and the World is going to say, 'Boy, God must be great, if He made them Educators.'  Then we won't go in to say, 'It's a good thing, you discovered our talents, God.'  'It's a good thing you came around to seeing how much you needed us.'  No, He is going to say, 'You're just Clay, shut up.  But look what I've done with you, I have molded, formed, and fashioned into something worthwhile and then through you, I'm going to change the rest of the World, and I'll humble them so they don't think it's by human talent, and human ability this is done.  It's by My Spirit.  That should be quite in evidence through Mr. Armstrong.  It's not by power, nor might, but by God's Spirit. 

WHERE CHRIST WORKS

He spoke two hours, and 50 minutes over in Big Sandy, including the announcements, and the ordinations.  Well, about two hours and 55 or so, I guess.  I kept praying He'd go about 3 hours.  Mr. Blackwell passed a note.  He had a note and he came over to me, and he said, you see Mr. Armstrong had thought he was on Texas time, and he was on Arizona time.  He said, 'Oh, I've spoken almost an hour,' and he had spoke over two.  Mr. Blackwell came over and said, had a note, 'It is 5 O'clock Texas time.  He said, 'Do you think I ought to tell him?' and I said, 'No.'  He went to Mr. Tkach, and Mr. Tkach said, 'No!  We don't tell God's Apostle to quit.'  I was praying he wouldn't quit until he went at least 3 hours, and he went 3 hours and 4 minutes.  That's the same length of time I went in Pasadena the previous Sabbath.  It takes the pressure off a little. 

So sometimes, you've got to pray, right on the spot.  Then you see God answer the prayer.  Course, He knew that Big Sandy here needed the extra impact, you know, because of the damage that had been done, and the people believing rumors.  You know, that Mr. Armstrong was old and senile, and God's not using him, and someone else is running the Work.  So I was with Him.  We caught the plane.  Of course, we went out to the airport in Burbank and left there about 7:45, California time flew to Tucson and picked up Mr. Armstrong and he talked almost all the way over to Big Sandy. 

Now, you'd think that's enough to exhaust an old man.  Especially if he's senile, he couldn't even get into the plane.  Then he talks to the people at the airport, talks in the car, because I was in the car with him coming in, talking about this, that and the other, and showing a nurse with him.  She's not in the Church.  She's a very fine young lady.  Showing her, you know various landmarks of the whole east Texas area there.  Then he gets in, he's met, and he's talking you know from the time he reaches the building until the service starts, then we had a couple of songs and Mr. Don Ward made one announcement.  I think it was, and then introduced Mr. Armstrong.

He explained about the College, about the Imperial Schools, and then he announced the ordinations, had some of us come up and join.  He ordained three men, and then he went into his sermon, and he spoke for almost two hours, and forty minutes, and that's pretty good when you're old and senile and not in charge of the Work, isn't it?  And all on your own, this is a Work not done by Human power, nor Human might, but by the Spirit of the Most High God.  That's what he wants all of us to recognize, and trust Him to manage His own affairs, and not feel we are called to be detectives.  Too many people have gone out of the Church because they felt God called them to be God's Detectives, down here to check up on his Apostle. 

As I used to say on my tours, you know these people come with these caught up attitudes.  I try to get real sober you know and serious like, and I'd say, 'Why don't you go pray about this, and let God know what's going on.  There's no telling what He might do when He finds out.'  You see because most people don't think above their eyebrows, and they don't use much of that which is above them.  They fail to realize, God knows everything.  He's the one responsible to handle it.  The big test is, who will, and who will not, trust God to manage His own affairs.  And those who can't be faithful in little things will not be faithful in the big things, so they won't make the Kingdom.  So we've got to trust God to manage His own affairs. 

The most important thing next to knowing God and Christ is to know exactly WHERE THEY WORK and to know THEY WILL NOT deviate from that particular way They work one billionth of a degree.  Now I'm going to make a statement, and then I'm going to reinforce it through the Sermon.  GOD HAS NOT AND WILL NOT WORK THROUGH ANY OTHER MAN THAN MR. ARMSTRONG,  since He started, since Christ started preparing for his second coming through that man back in 1927.  That's when he stopped working through any other leadership and He's only helped those who were in line and supporting His Apostle.  Once anyone has stepped out of that orientation, God has quit working with him. 

GOD HAS NOT WORKED WITH ONE OF THOSE ME WHO HAS REBELLED AGAINST GOD'S GOVERNMENT.  You'd better believe that, because if you don't, you're still subject to Satan's deception.  He will take you off one way or the other, somewhere down the road, if you don't know that.  He is so subtle, so crafty, so wily, so shrewd, and so powerful.  He can make you think up is down, black is white, bitter is sweet, spiritually speaking.  YOU'VE GOT TO KNOW AND YOU'VE GOT TO KNOW THAT YOU KNOW, WHERE CHRIST WORKS AND THAT HE WILL WORK THROUGH NO OTHER or Satan will catch you up. 

I have seen many top men, and many other Ministers, and many brethren, who have all fallen victim to Satan's deception, because they all begin to criticize Mr. Armstrong in one way or the other.  Then they begin to say, 'Well, God's not working through just one man.'  Then they are subject to Satan's influence very quickly, and the more he can get them to criticize where Christ is working, the more susceptible they are to thinking God works through this one, that one, and someone else, or some other group.  Then He leads them right off.  He is so subtle; He takes you off by degrees.  Each little step you take, he convinces you, you're right.  Then you take the next one.  You are convinced you are right.  Pretty soon, you are way off in left or right field and you feel you are right, because you have justified every step in that direction.  Satan has deceived the whole World! 

Anyone that thinks he is so great, that Satan can deceive the whole World, but not me.  Boy, he is inflated.  He's scratching out here.  He's got such a big head in his own estimation.  THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY to be sure Satan cannot catch you up, and that's to know WHERE Christ works, and that He will work through NO OTHER.  Brethren I can't stress that emphatically enough!  I know there will be some of you, I hope very few.  I wish none, but there will be some of you who, when we go to a place of final training, are going to realize that, and then when you burn in the Lake of Fire, you're going to know it.  I tell you Brethren, it's serious, because you're future, and my future is at stake.  WE CAN'T AFFORD TO ARGUE WITH GOD ALMIGHTY, AND THAT'S WHAT SOME HAVE DONE.  They're gone.  It's too bad.  Good, that's still Texas time, hopefully.  It's only 12:10.  Good, we're just getting started. 

So we need to understand and comprehend and believe deeply the fact.  I didn't say, the perhaps, but the FACT, that God has put Mr. Armstrong into a position that is prophesied throughout the Bible.  That position is absolute.  Christ is preparing the way for his second coming through that messenger.  Once He started, that's it all of the way into his second coming.  That's one of the hardest things in the World to believe, because no one wants to be locked into absolute authority.  You see, you want to always have these exits.  Just in case things get a little tough, you can say, 'Well, I can always go out here.'  It's so difficult to be totally and completely converted where you know that there is only one way, and you're committed to it, and you're burning all the bridges behind you, and you don't want any exits, because you intend to go all the way.  If you're conditioning God, and say, 'Well, I'll kind of watch your Apostle, I'm not sure.'  You are on your way out. 

People have been watching now for a couple of years, He's stronger than ever, and their eyes have gotten dimmer and dimmer, and they're farther away.  Notice God didn't work through Ted.  Ted's gone bankrupt just about.  He didn't work through Raymond Cole, Wayne Cole.  Wayne Cole's quit Ted, and quit his own Church.  Isn't that something?  Boy it's getting bad, when you can't even stand your own Church.  He hasn't worked through any of those people who have left.  They've all had their various arguments.  Church of God International, Associated Churches of God.  They had Church of God Fruita, yeah even one named Fruita.  I don't know whether it was Nuta, but it was Fruita.  A fellow rebelled against Ted, and Ron Dart went up to snatch the Churches back, and he was living in Fruita, Colorado.  So he had to incorporate real fast.  So he had to incorporate Church of God Fruita.  I think I would have moved real quick, and then incorporated. 

We've had Family Church of God.  The Eye, Ear, and Nose Church of God because one Minister went off and he said he could look into your eyes and predict the future.  He said he went over to Tucson and he looked into Mr. Armstrong's eyes, and he saw 'evil.'  So he started his own Church.  What he does is look into the eyes of his parishioners, and then his wife has this unique gift of feeling the knots on your head, and so in combination, as he looks into your eyes and she feels knots on your head, they predict the future.  So the best thing if you had that Church is to have a deacon feeling heads as they come in, and have the most prophetic heads on the front row.  So you can kinda, you know up here where you can feel heads, you can predict the future.

One fellow had the Family Church of God, that was the cure all.  That was the panacea for the two Armstrong's.  So he took one hundred people out of the Garden Grove, California Church.  Shortly thereafter, his wife divorces him, and 75 people leave.  I don't think that was the solution, do you?  Family Church of God, first thing his wife divorces him.  Well that's enough of that nonsense.  But you need to realize that these men didn't deliberately say, 'I'm going to rebel and fight God.'  They were caught up by Satan and they were convinced by that crafty being, they were right.  Ted doesn't think he's wrong.  Raymond Cole doesn't think he's wrong and I could name dozens of them.  That's why you can't afford to flirt with Satan, because those men, some of them were pretty brilliant men, but compared to Satan, they're like; they have no sense at all.  He's a pretty wise being.  God call him the 'wise Serpent.'  So you can't afford to flirt with him.

THAT'S WHY THIS IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND WHERE GOD WORKS AND NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THAT.  Keep first of all, exercise vision, and see God always in the picture.  Never lower your eyes below God.  Then see with God, Christ at his right side, as the Head of the Church and that CHRIST THEN WORKS THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG AND FEAR TO FIGHT GOD, OR TO RESIST GOD, OR SPEAK AGAINST GOD, AND THEN YOU CAN KEEP PERSPECTIVE.  Then you are not open to rumors, to slander, to books that corrupt.  That bend out of kilter and twist and warp minds.  It's worse than feeding on some dope, because that's Spiritual Drug and I'll tell you, it'll kill you. 

Why is Mr. Armstrong's name, Herbert Armstrong?  Why didn't he call Bolivar Shagnasty, or Willy Water-it-down Weak-arm?  Because the name is typical of the Commission, Herbert means Bright warrior.  Any one who saw him over at Big Sandy realized he is indeed a Bright Warrior.  He wasn't up there kinda sitting saying, 'Hello out there dear folks in God's dear Church.'  'He's worked with you dear people, with his dear Spirit, and I've come here to tell you that He loves you so much, and I love you so much, and I'm getting tired, and I think it's about time to stop the service.'  'We'll have one or two testimonials, and a closing Hymn by Sue, and I'll be on my way back to Tucson, Arizona.' 

HE'S A BRIGHT WARRIOR!  HE'S BEEN FIGHTING FOR GOD'S WAY OF BRIGHTNESS FOR 50 SOMETHING YEARS!  I remember in a conference in January of 1978, Mr. Armstrong had just coming back from his heart failure.  He was over in Tucson for the conference.  He comes in that morning almost one of the first things he mentioned to us Ministers.  He said, 'Although I'm approaching 86.'  No, I guess he was; I guess that was it 86.  He says, 'I have no intention of retiring.'  And some of us knew that we were on the list, the list of Pastor Emeritus, because we were approaching 50, you see.  Some of us had just passed it.  I don't think Mr. Armstrong had left and the dust settle so to speak, until Ted gets up, and says, 'I think it's about time we discuss a retirement program.'  And I thought that's the most inappropriate thing in the World to say after the Apostle at 85 has said, 'I don't think I'll ever retire.'  Kind of a slap in his face to come up and say, 'Well if you're 50, you better retire.'  In other words, that would be an indirect slap back in saying, 'The old man better retire.'  You noticed he hasn't retired?  That Bright Warrior is Brighter and a greater fighter now than he was back in '78.  And I mean he works. 

I was on my way to Tucson.  I had already made an appointment to call Mr. Armstrong on a Wednesday, or Thursday.  I think Wednesday, I was to arrive in Tucson and I went early.  I got in, I kept driving and I said, well I ought to stop here in Wilcox or somewhere Arizona and go in there tomorrow and I just kept you know, being urged.  Well, God knows how to urge you.  You don't even know it.  You just have an urge.  I kept driving.  Well I might as well go on into Tucson.  I said, 'Well, I ought to get a, maybe a Motel down here in the southeast part of Tucson and then I can move on over tomorrow.  It's still a long drive.  I know maybe I better go on over to the Roadway inn where I stayed before. 

I arrived and they said, 'Well we got a room for tonight, Sunday night, but we can't put you up Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday.  Got a Rodeo in town and everything is fully booked.'  So I said, 'OK, I'll check in tonight.'  Got up the next morning and I said, 'Maybe I ought to call Mr. Armstrong, and let him know I'm already in town.  It maybe he could work me in today, you know, easier than Wednesday, or Thursday.'  So I called him at 9:45, He said 'Well Gerald,' and I told him I wanted to call him early.  And He said, 'Yeah, I'll be leaving the house at 10:00 for Los Angeles.'  It was 9:45.  He said, 'Really I think this is the only day we can get together, because I've television on Tuesday, and Wednesday.  I've got to go to Big Sandy on Thursday.  So maybe you and I ought to talk going to the airport, going to Los Angeles and back.'  He said, 'Do you know where that airport is at?  And I realized there was no way, I could shower, pack my things, load the car, check out, and drive all the way to the airport.  I said, 'Mr. Armstrong do you feel that you could have Mel come by and pick me up on the way to the airport?  I'm right on the way.  He said, "Well, where are you staying?"  I explained it to him.  He said, "We'll come by and get you." 

Usually I shower slowly.  That was one of the first times I have been able to dodge soap, and water, and get through the shower, and pack my car, load it, because I had to get out of the Motel.  They had to let me know that everything was fully booked the next night, and I was up, and the Gal was just about to give me my credit card slip to sign, when the limousine drove up, that's how.  But God's never late.  he just puts you under pressure.  He'll get you there just on time sometimes.  So I was with Mr. Armstrong all the way to the airport, and we talked.  He was involved in some decision making, all the way to Los Angeles.  He had certain men come out and meet him, not Los Angeles, but Burbank.  It's in the general LA area.  He talked.  He had them come out to the plane.  He had several meetings, and He talked the rest of the day, the rest of the morning, most of the afternoon.  Then Mr. Neff and I were with Him.  We flew back to Tucson.  He and I talked all the way out to his home in the limousine and we spent about 2 ½, 3 hours in his home that evening, and he explained a lot of Revelation, and a lot of other scriptures.  That's just one of the days, plus a lot of others he had to do. 

Then on, let's see on two or three other days a group went over from Pasadena and spent all day with him and they were over there on the Sabbath.  They were there on Sunday, two long days.  He had a Bible study on the Sabbath.  Then they were there for all day meetings on Sunday.  Wednesday he flies over to Burbank, and has the Congress for leading Ministers from all around the World.  He spoke to them for about 2 hours 15 minutes then took two or three carloads of us to the airport.  We spent about 3 to 3 ½ hours with him, at the airport talking.  Eating, you know the only time he eats is when he's in a meeting and he eats a little while he's in the meeting.  I mean he eats at other, I mean when we're together.  He doesn't take time out to go and eat, just relax.  He just has a little something to eat while we just keep talking.  So we got away from him 8 O'clock, 7 O'clock that evening, and the following, let's see.  Then the Sabbath you know I've already explained about coming over to Big Sandy.  It's an all day affair talking on the way back as well. 

Sunday morning after that, he started meetings in Tucson with the whole group of us.  Some of us were in at different times.  But he was there all of the time, from 10:30 in the morning to 6 straight through.  He just had a small dish brought in during the meeting.  That was on Sunday after being over to Big Sandy, and speaking about 3 hours.  Does that sound like He's old and senile?  We ought to just try to stay up with Him.  I'll tell you. 

GETTING BACK ON THE TRACK

I know where the power comes.  I don't have to, you know wonder, "Well I wonder what he eats?  I wonder where he gets his vitamins.  Boy, maybe I better drink some of that.  I know where the power comes from.  It comes from God.  He's the Bright warrior!  When God raised him up from the dead and he actually died and if God had not raised him, he would have still been in the Grave.  He would have been put in the Grave, under a name there.  When God raised Him, he had two pet ferrets with him.  You know what a ferret is?  We have the statement "you ferret it out," because when a ferret get's a hold of you, he's got you.  So God had those to be typical, that He was going to ferret out the problems through His Apostle, to get rid of all those who are not really with it, to clean up the Church, the College, the Foundation, everything else. 

Now, they didn't like it in the quest magazine when Mr. Armstrong began to take control and 6 of them resigned the Editor and 5 others.  Well good!  They wanted us to pay the bills, and they can do their thing.  That's the way the World is basically.  Everyone wants a handout to do his own thing, swing, smoke pot.  In the World tomorrow we'll have them sit on it.  There won't be any smoke in the pot.  Just another proof that the young generation is upside down and doesn't realize it, because when I grew up; I knew what the pot was for. 

You know the statements Mr. Armstrong made as soon as God raised him up, and he began to address the Church, after that heart attack, or heart failure, in August of 1977.  He made statements.  First, He said, "God raised me for a purpose.  God raised me to put this Church, College, and Foundation, back on the right track.  God raised me to lead you people into the Kingdom of God, and present you without spot, blemish, or wrinkle.  God showed me I was not to be looking down to Jerusalem to some physical Temple, but to realize the Church is the Temple to which Christ is coming and that is what He's concerned about, getting ready; building that Temple."  He has been dedicated to that from that day forward and he has not looked right or left, but straight ahead, in putting everything back on the right track.  Then cleaning up God's Church, cleaning up this college, cleaning up the Imperial program, cleaning up all facets of God's work and getting this Temple ready for the return of Christ. 

Now where are we now?  Well God has a lot of things, that's not the proof, but it's just kind of typical of what he dangles around.  There's a restaurant you see just across the tracks, on Delmar Street, just east of the campus and when Mr. Armstrong was raised from the dead, while Ted was still in control.  It was called "The Loose Caboose."  Pretty typical wasn't it?  The Caboose trying to lead the train that was loose, it was loose off the tracks.  Then after Mr. Armstrong had taken over once again and had the controls, the ownership changed and the new owner did not like the name Loose Caboose because God was stirring up his mind.  Do you know what he changed the name to?  The Right Track, to be typical of what was going on in God's campus because God dangles these signs around.  You know, He knows a lot of people, you know have to be kind of further encouraged.  So he thought I'll just dangle some proof over if it.  Not the proof but I supported the proof as to what He was doing. 

Now Mr. Armstrong has been used to get things back on the right track and in January he, late December and January he began to write articles saying 'Now this is a year for growth.'  So ownership changed in this restaurant and it's closed to be reopened very shortly.  Do you know that their going to name it?  The Pony Express.  Could anything be more typical of what's gone on?  When Ted was in his rebellion, it was like the loose caboose trying to lead the train off the track.  Then he raised His Apostle up and put things back on the right track.  Now once you're on the right track it's time to accelerate so the name will now be Pony Express.  Every one ought to realize the pony express was the fastest mode of communication back in its day.  So that's typical of forward motion, forward progress. 

Do you think all three names just happened?  If they had happened in Shanghais China, I may not have connected it to God.  But when it's right next to the campus and the owner's change and they change the name to fit what is going on in the work, to be typical of it.  Don't discount that God does these things.  He said there would be signs following.  That's one of the signs.  He made sure Mr. Armstrong had pet ferrets with him when he was raised.  To typify what He was going to do through His Apostle, ferret out the problems ferret out the disloyal.  So he had to change the direction from the LOOSE CABOOSE to THE RIGHT TRACK and now that He has it on the right track, it's a matter of generating speed, Pony Express.  Christ has us in direction now for growth and we must all be grounded in the basics so that there is no way Satan can get us, any of us again to look right or left. 

Remember what King David said?  He said I saw the Lord always at my right side, therefore I was not moved (paraphrasing Psalm 16:8).  He was not moved because he knew where to look.  He said I saw the Lord ALWAYS at my right side therefore I was not moved.  You've got to see the Lord always in your vision and know where He works, so you can't be moved.  Back in Joshua are some real fine scriptures.  I've used these occasionally.  Joshua 1:5, now God does not change just as He worked through Moses and Joshua, so does He work through His Apostle today.  The messenger, the Elijah to Come, the Modern Day Ezekiel, the Modern Day Zerubbabel and He said here in vs. 5.  There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life…  Do you know how many dozens of men have tried to stand against Mr. Armstrong in the past 30 or 40 years?  Dozens and dozens and dozens of very capable men, very talented men, men of great charisma, men of dynamics, men of intellectual capacity, but notice they're not standing now.  They've stood but they were soon knocked down.  God still works through the Apostle.

In fact, we used to have 8 or 10 vice presidents who would say we've got too much to do.  Now one man is handling all they were doing plus a lot of others.  That's Mr. Herbert Armstrong.  Peter Nathan, who is in charge of the work in New Zealand, who was transferred down from England, came down and met me in New Zealand when I came over about 6 hours later and he accompanied me in ten of my stops throughout New Zealand.  He heard me 43 hours in 11 days I think it was.  He rejoiced.  He appreciated it, because he knows who's behind this.  But he was saying when he came through Pasadena he went around through the departments, he saw everyone just over their head in work.  He began to realize all this is being generated by one may in Tucson.  That one man's overall direction to generate what he wants done is keeping all of those departments busy, one man!  He said what an astonishing thing to witness.  What an electrifying, encouraging thing to realize one man is keeping all of these departments busy, 'cause he's the one that sparks and generates the processes for all that is being produced.  Whether it be radio, television, publications, Imperial Schools, Ambassador College, whatever it is, he's the one that says here is what I want done.  Here's where I want it done. 

He even goes over all of those bible correspondence course lessons.  I've had 2 or 3 occasions when I was in Pasadena recently to be with Richard Sedliachick.  To eat 2 or 3 times with him and he knows who the boss is and he knows he submits everything to Mr. Armstrong.  I was over there, he had a stack like this he was going through for the lessons and he lets Mr. Sedliachick know I want this and I want that.  He gives them and outline and he develops them an outline as to the type of courses he wants.  That's generating the work. 

He lets Mr. McNair know here's the way I want the college run.  I want all of you men to submit your class outlines and I want to go over them.  When they were getting the refreshing program ready, he had all of those men, Dean Blackwell, Mr. Tkach, Ellis Laravia and all the others, he had them submit outlines of what he was, they were going to cover and he went over all of them and penciled them and approved of what he wanted covered.

Generating the growth in the church, the director, the one who is in charge, the one whom Christ is leading through, now you think that it just, could be done, just by human strength, human intelligence?  It's done because God has trained him from a little child, made sure he was born with the ingredients.  Then made sure all the formative years would set him up to do all the work he'd have to do all the days of his life to the second coming of Christ.  It shows the great handiwork, the great skill, the great Power of God Almighty and we need to be a people that are God conscious and not religious conscious.  There are a lot of religious people in the world.  They have their bingo parties.  They have their rummage sales.  Every now and then, they have two or three scriptures on Sunday, the Lord's Day.  It's the Lord's Day alright, just the wrong lord.  See, you've got to make sure you've got the right lord.  There are other days.  That's the Sun god.  They know it's called Sunday.  It's the day to the sun god.  So it's the day of the sun god.  So those who worship, worship that lord.  He's called Baal back in the Old Testament.

GOD IS IN ABSOLUTE CHARGE

Oh, they're a lot of religious people, but God didn't call us to be religious in the common terminology or the common understanding of the word.  You know, Paul came to those Greeks and he says you people here are too religious.  You're superstitious.  You got this plaque dedicated to the 'unknown god.'  He says I'm here to tell you about that God.  he's not unknown.  He's the one that made all nations on the face of this earth from the one blood and He has determined their boundaries.  Where they're going to be and their seasons, how long they'd be there and when they would be there and how long they would be there and when they would cease to be a nation.  God is in absolute charge.  He's determined the boundaries. 

Moses said, when God separated the sons of Adam, he did so according to the number of Israel.  Because he had 12 tribes of Israel and all of the gentiles are to relate so God has the perfect base from which he builds a great family with the variety of talents within.  That God declares the end from the beginning.  Most people don't analyze it.  If you understood that, you wouldn't have any problem not knowing God would accomplish what He's purposed.  How can you declare the end of something unless you take all the steps that lead to that end you've declared?  So God has declared the END from the BEGINNING. 

Some people think God didn't know what He's doing.  He put Adam and Eve down here and he said boy wonderful!  Look at these two perfect holy righteous people.  Satan got in there and tripped up and they fell and broke into many pieces like Humpty Dumpty, fell off the wall and broke into many pieces.  So Christ and the Father shed tears and Christ said what can we do to repair, to put back together our beautiful creation?  The Father says I don't know.  Oh, if we can just put them back together like they were.  Christ says, I think I've got it.  I will volunteer to become the glue and I will make the sacrifice that will put them back together, just glue them back.  That's about the essence of religion in this world.  They think there was fall back here and God didn't intend that you know and Satan just came along and kind of out smarted God, tripped up Adam and Eve and God has been desperately trying to figure what to do ever since.  He had that all charted from before Adam and Eve were ever thought of.  That is ever put on the earth they were thought of course, and it's all being carried out precisely according to a master plan. 

God knows exactly the kind of family He's going to have when he comes and if He didn't He might not come.  Now wouldn't that be something.  We all sacrifice and make It., and the Father looks down and says, "Boy, that's not the way I thought it was going to be.  I don't want that Family Son.  If you want it you can have it but don't tell them which way I am going."  God is already committed to come to the Earth when the Family is complete and take over.  So He knew before He started what He was going to take over, unlike Human beings.  Most of them don't even what they are going to take over till it's overtaken them, or taken over them. 

God is in absolute charge.  You need to have that kind of confidence.  He predicted our Leader over 3000 years ago in many prophecies.  So He made sure he was born.  Mr. Armstrong said, "I was trained 70 years ago to write those ads."  That's why He writes them in a manner no one else can write.  Those advertising agencies were discussing these ads in the Wall Street Journal, and one of them came up and said, "This man must have a whole organization helping him write these ads."  They could not believe it that one man was producing these ads.  Of course that's just one of the many things he's done.  But he's got an expertise, when he gets ready to type.  Of course, he types with the hunt & peck system.  Of course, he doesn't hunt very long and he pecks real fast.  I've never seen anyone that can use that so fast as Mr. Armstrong and when He beats something out, it's almost ready to print. 

He sent this letter to Australia.  When it was transmitted by the facsimile from Tucson to Pasadena Mr. Tkach and another Ministerial service guy said this is the Epistle to the Australians.  Now, we got copies of the original right off his typewriter.  21 pages, of course its big type and there were very few errors through the whole thing.  Now a fellow who works in the Burleigh Heads office in Australia whose been writing letters for years, a man named Reg Wright.  He said I can't believe that a man can just produce 21 pages like this right off the typewriter almost perfect.  Most people have to go back and correct sentence structure make inserts, make changes.  That was just straight off of type, caps underscores dashes, parenthetic expressions, 21 straight pages.  God had to train him give him a gift for writing, and then train him to use it, so when he has to produce things at such a prodigious manner then he's able to do it.  So God made sure he got the training back 70 years ago, that would set him up for doing that today.  So he didn't go out and learn how to write ads. 

I've said for years, and I'll repeat it.  Mr. Armstrong said it many times to me on the phone and to me publicly that there's no one else on the face of the Earth that could run his, do his job, NO ONE!  That's why God's going to keep him alive.  He doesn't have anyone else.  See the good thing about God, if he has no one else, He can always keep the one He's got alive.  So He doesn't worry.  God says, "Son do you think you can finish this work before Herbert dies on us?"  And Christ says, "I'll sure try."  They are not there with nervous hands you know, boy, first thing in the morning, "Is he still there Son?  Check, is it still ticking?  I can see him down there in bed, but check up see if he's alive make sure, put something extra in his Wheaties this morning.  Spark up his water.  Inject something.  We've got to keep this Man alive.  You think his heart will hold out?  I'll check the tissue.  I'm not sure?  Well Son you'd better make sure, some leading hospital, you let them do it for you, because they're more expert than We are.  Who are We?  We can't keep a man alive.  Son how'd We keep Methuselah alive so long?"  He says, "I've forgotten myself" He says "I have gone to our files to try to figure out what that formula was that enables us to keep a man alive 969 years and I've had to conclude it was washed away in the Noachian flood, and I haven't been able to find it since." 

I think some people must think God's lost His talent, lost His ability.  I've been saying this for well over ten years, following up these rebels.  They were trying to say Mr. Armstrong had to die because of what they saw.  You live by faith and not by sight.  If I go around and say, "I've just come from Tucson.  I've seen Mr. Armstrong in the backyard lifting 350# with each hand.  He jogged a Marathon, before breakfast.  I've got documented, notarized, paper clipped, waxed reports from leading Physicians all around the World, and some of the most distinguished hospitals.  All of them say this man, because of what they've can see and have checked up on has to live at least 25 more years.  Then there would be people in God's (Church) would say, "Oh, I think he can live because of what they see."  But, the just shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38) and when you begin to try to live by sight, you're on your way out.  You've got to know the God behind Mr. Armstrong is absolutely unlimited.  He's the one that said all nations of this Earth are less than nothing as compared to Him back in Isaiah 40.

 I like the way God works His humor in.  Back there, He said, well, He said all of these nations are like a drop in the bucket as compared to me.  Well on second thought, they're like the dust on the balance.  He said, well to tell you the truth, they're less than nothing.  So at least He starts out by letting them think they are like a drop in the bucket.  He ends up by saying; you're really less than nothing.  So I like to keep that in mind and I've always asked and answered the question to myself.  Do you think that God would ever ask part of less than nothing how to do something?  Did you get that?  Ask myself the question, do I think God would ask me who am a part of less than nothing?  No!  So shut up.  Get the Point.  Too many people who are only a part of less than nothing are trying to tell the Great God how to do it.  That sort of causes God's dander, He doesn't have dandruff even if he had it, He would cause it to get up.  That's why He doesn't have it.  That's 'cause it would get up and flee.

So here, we have to realize that God will never leave or forsake Mr. Armstrong which he says in many places in the Bible, I'll never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).  As He said to Joshua here in Joshua 1 verse, 7 (actually verse 5).  There will not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life… and that applies to Mr. Armstrong more today than to Joshua by many times over.  …as I was with Moses so I will be with you and I will not fail you nor forsake you.  What a beautiful statement. 

If you want to read a good prophecy, I don't have time to go into it but it kind of reinforces this.  It's Psalms 71 and all you have to read is read that whole psalm with Mr. Armstrong in mind as the Bright warrior who is old and grey headed.  That's had these enemies fight him all the day of his life.  Who has to cry and say God when I'm old and grey headed don't forsake me.  And God says I won't, because I have to preach your gospel to this generation and all of those to come.  You'll have to quicken me.  That means make me alive again and raise me from the grave so I can do it and the beautiful end result of that Psalm is that God's going to make all of his enemies acknowledge he was right.  Do you believe that? 

Every one who has ever resisted will have to come up before him in the World Tomorrow and bow down to his feet and say, 'Now we know God loves you.'  Then learn from him.  It'll be Christ but working through his government, through his Body of assistants called His wife, His Government, His Temple.  The group of individuals that have been  trained for 6000 years to make that collective body of governmental officials to work under Christ and the one through whom we will always address both religion and education on the individual level.  Raising up churches worldwide and raising up Ambassador Colleges, Imperial Schools, radio stations, television stations, publications, on and on.  Will be the same one he has trained and prepared all the days up to His coming to do the bigger job of the World Tomorrow.  They'll all have to come up and say 'Now show us how to worship God' and they will say 'just attend the church we have in your area.'  Teach us true values.  Well send your children to Imperial School.  No other school anyway, Ambassador College, the older people will attend the local spokesman club, Ladies club whatever, read the literature and you begin to walk in God's way.  So its, Psalm 71 is very descriptive of that.

STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

Verse 7 Joshua 1, He said, Only be strong and very courageous…  Now God wants His people to begin to take on this flavor more and more.  Be strong and very courageous.  You know what would prevent you from being that way?  Doubting Christ's leadership through Mr. Armstrong.  The more you believe in that the stronger you'll be.  The less you believe in that, the weaker you're going to be and if you don't know absolutely and are not convinced that where Christ with all power in heaven and earth is working.  How in the world do you think you can be strong and very courageous?  So it's to whatever degree we believe in God and Christ and where they're working, it's to that degree we can be strong and very courageous and no further.  Otherwise, it's done by human power and that's not worth anything!

Glad to see Mr. Armstrong pound his bible because I wear a lot of Bibles out, but Mr. Blackwell gave me a solution the other day after my Bible study in Pasadena.  Maybe it was my sermon, I'm not sure.  I had a sermon the Sabbath the following Friday night a Bible study.  He said the key to that is turn to numbers when you're quoting from Revelation and hit Numbers.  Then you can preserve Revelation.  I said, I never thought of that.  So I know what it says so I just turn to some other area that I'm not using real often and I'll pound on that and I'll say look there what you say in Revelation 3 but I'll be hitting maybe II kings 3.  Then the Bibles will last longer.  If you notice Mr. Armstrong didn't spare the podium did he or the table?  He kind of bangs the bible remember that introductory film at the outset of the Feast of Tabernacles?  Boy, he really beat that, you know, if it had been me, he would have had good ground meat.  He was really pounding the Bible.  Well if you get something out of it maybe, he wouldn't have to pound it. 

Only be thou strong and very courageous that you may observe to do according to all the law (Joshua 1:7)…  Now that is typical of this modern day servant, leading God's people to Petra this time where Moses led them physically the first time.  Just for physical inheritance into Palestine which is a type of the Kingdom of God.  Now Mr. Armstrong will lead us there this time and then Christ the one typed by that Joshua not the Joshua of Zechariah 3 but the Joshua under Moses, this Joshua.  Then He will come and take us into the Kingdom from Petra.  That's why God had Moses die at Petra.  He knew that would be the case before he put Adam on the Earth.  It's all working out a great purpose with type and anti type and Moses led them to Petra and Moses died and Joshua which means Jesus took over and led them into the Promised Land which is the type of the Kingdom of God.  Now, Mr. Armstrong will take us to Petra but he can't take us into the Kingdom because he's flesh and blood too, but Christ the one typed by Joshua will come and change us to spirit and take us into the Promised Land, the Kingdome of God. 

These things are all type and anti type.  God has so many types and ante types throughout the Bible.  It's like Moses breaking the first tablets.  That was all according to a pattern typified that the people under the old covenant would break the law.  Then he went back and got new tablets typifying with the new tablets under the new covenant with God's spirit they can be kept, all that is typical, a Great God precisely working out a plan and a purpose here below.  We need to have that kind of confidence.  Then you can have that same confidence that you see that you can have by seeing how God has worked through his servants down through the ages, applied even more strongly to now.  As he prepares, as Christ prepares for His coming through his messenger and that begins to give people then a strength of courage and confidence to see beyond human flesh, above carnal thinking; to see the Great God and the Great Jesus Christ.  To have confidence and strength because of them and because of their promises and because of the help they can give us through their Holy Spirit and the Faith that they can Give us to generate that confidence and that strength.  So he says …turn not from it to the right hand or to the left hand that you may prosper where so ever you go.  A beautiful lesson. 

Do you know if people had understood this, applied that to the office that God has put Mr. Armstrong in and what is prophesied to occur, no one would have ever looked right or left!  They'd have never followed any man away from Mr. Armstrong.  They wouldn't listen to anything I don't care if it's a book written by some turned off sour person.  I don't want to waste my time on garbage because I know where to look and I know that truth is in Jesus Christ.  So you have to be in connection with that source of truth and he reveals truth through one man and through no other.  When you understand that you only look to where Christ works and you won't look right or left to try to find something from some other source. 

That's what this scripture's all about.  Don't look right or left and be strong and very courageous, going straight ahead.  But if you kind of doubt where you are going and say Whoa!  Satan says, "Come over here I've got something good for you.  I've got a new Way.  I've got a Way to free you from Tithing.  I've got a Way so you can go down and get good medicine.  You don't have to rely of God, that takes Faith.  Come over here, and if you don't like the old Bat, I can give you another one."  So people begin, "Oh is that right?  Yeah.  You sure then?  Yeah, sure the Laws been done away.  It's been abrogated.  It's been relegated, to the past.  You're now in the Way of Love.  Just Love, just Love everything, everyone, everywhere."  Sounds sweet, just doesn't work.  You've got to KNOW that true Love cannot be separated from Law.  Did you know that?  Because Love is the fulfilling of the Law.  When God drafted a Master Plan, He had to define the Laws that would show how we relate to Him, and to one another, in His Way of Life.  SO THE LAW IS THE DEFINITION OF HOW YOU LOVE GOD, AND HOW YOU LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. 

But we don't have the power to fulfill it.  So God says "OK, when you recognize you've been in rebellion against me, and you're willing to repent and turn into the Way of my Law, which is My Way, then I will give you My Holy Spirit, and then through My Holy Spirit I will shed abroad in your heart Love, and that Love will fulfill the Law.  And it's to flow out of you like rivers of Living Water out of your belly to do good."  This nonsense of saying, "There's no Law, but we have Love," that's determining then how you think Love ought to flow.  That's like trying to have a river without a riverbed.  It just won't work.  That's why we have rivers to channel the water.  So the Law is the channel but that does not fulfill the purpose.  it's the channel through which, and down which God's love flows.  So you have to agree to walk according to that Law.  Then God says, "OK, I'll give you the help to make sure you can, so once you've turned to my Law, by turning away from rebellion I will give you my Holy Spirit and through my Spirit, I will give you my Love."  Because God sheds His Love through His Holy Spirit, and that Love fulfills the Law.  It fills out the Law.  It shows you how to walk in that Way.  But Satan is so subtle.  People say, "Oh, I just Love, Oh why, she said She loved me," but underneath she might say "You old Bat, you." 

God says He judges the Heart.  Because there are a lot of hypocrites in the World, Satan is the biggest one.  They can come out and say, "Oh how much I do Love you."  And all of the time they got a way to stab you in the back.  So all this mouth, God is never impressed by lip service, unless it's backed by action.  A lot of people talk about, "Oh, how much they Love the Lord" and if Christ said, "Why don't you keep MY Sabbath?"  "Well now wait a minute here, wait, I'm going to change my mind, now wait a minute.  Who gave you the right to tell me that I don't have the right to tell you how to Love you, so you go back to heaven till you can agree with me."  That's the way most people would do it.  They'd crucify Him again.  But the next time He comes, He's going to come with great power, as a divine being.  And they're not going to string Him up this time.  He's going to conquer the World I'll guarantee you. 

So we've got to be those who will turn neither left, nor right, as you understand that scripture in the light of the office and position God has put Mr. Armstrong in.  You would care less.  You would care less.  In fact YOU WOULD REALLY TEST ANYTHING SAID OTHER THAN THROUGH THAT MAN, YOU DON'T EVEN WANT IT.  You don't want to waste your time on it.  You would fear it more than a den of Rattlesnakes, or Cobras, or Mambas, and they're a lot more deadly than Rattlesnakes, I'll guarantee.  They would kill you in about 8-10 minutes.  They're all over Africa, India.  Of course, the Indians over there worship Cobras.  Mr. McNair, you ever heard about the time he was over on a baptizing tour, and he and, I think, Wayne Cole were walking out on this dike, and this great big old King Cobra came up, and boy Mr. McNair grabbed a rock, and these Indians almost got Him.  "Don't hurt our snake, cause that may be my Grandfather."  You know, they believe maybe, no telling who might have been reincarnated in that snake.  That's some of the superstition we're going to have to educate out of people. 

But when you KNOW where God works and you KNOW that you KNOW, and you Love God, and you Love Christ, you want to follow THEM.  You don't even open up to the enemy.  You don't turn left or right to open up.  You look straight ahead.  I just don't want to read all this nonsense.  I always ask myself, "Is it constructive?"  Well the answer is "WHERE DID IT COME FROM?  Did it come from Satan, or Christ?  AND IF IT COMES FROM CHRIST, IT COMES THROUGH HIS APOSTLE, BY WAY OF WHICH HE PUTS ALL DOCTRINE IN THE CHURCH.  He's the one in absolute authority to make the final decision as to what we all believe.  Now if it hasn't come from Him, I don't want it.  Because the source of everything else is Satan, who's the great deceiver, that comes as an Angel of Light, but He's a destroyer.  He makes bitter taste sweet, up look down, black look white, etc.  So you can't live by sight. 

REVERSING A WAY OF LIFE

You know God through us is REVERSING a trend, and A WAY OF LIFE that has been extant on this World, this Earth for almost 6000 years through human individuals, but before that through some rebel Angels, that rebelled against God.  WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THAT PREMISE YOU CAN'T REALLY GRASP WHAT GOD IS DOING TODAY, AND WHY HE IS DOING IT.  WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT.  How did the WAY OF LIFE that is manifest throughout the entire World by the masses of Humanity, of peoples on the Earth, where did the WAY OF LIFE start?  It started long before Adam, and Eve were placed on the Earth.  It started through a Spirit being named Lucifer, who began to get caught up toward his Maker, and began to let VANITY generate in his Mind, and wanted to do his thing.  Once he made up his mind to do his thing, he wanted to turn the Angels under Him against God, to support him and his objectives.  SO WHAT HE HAD TO DO IS TO BEGIN TO DESTROY THEIR CONFIDENCE IN GOD. 

He had been a covering Cherub, one of the two that covered the Throne of God.  The other Angels had been out in the field.  They were kind of in Fort Worth Texas.  Lucifer had been out in Pasadena, so to speak, you see in that relation ship only in this the distances were much more remote.  So when Lucifer is put as King over them it probably took no telling how many hundreds of thousands if not millions of years to finally come to this state, where He wanted to try to boot His Maker out and take over and run the operation HIS OWN WAY.  But whenever He began to want, to lust after, to desire God's position, then He had to Usurp, and REPLACE GOD.  So He had to DESTROY THE CONFIDENCE of the Angels under Him against their Maker, and build up CONFIDENCE IN HIMSELF. 

So in essence, He said, "I was at God's Throne when this was discussed, and He didn't tell you the absolute Truth.  There's a cover-up.  What He told you is not the full story and there's a lot more behind this than what God…"  And they said, "Oh is that right?"  That's when these elephant ears began to come into play.  I think God must have copied you know the elephant ear design from the Angels and then gossipers ever since.  They want to hang over the backyard fence.  You know and hear what the neighbor is saying or what is going on next door.  I don't know how many Ladies and others are walking around deaf in one ear 'cause they had their ear up against the wall and the rebel on the other side kicked the wall.  That's why some look a little flatter on one side than the other; notice that?  They got kicked.

So way back there, Satan began to DESTROY CONFIDENCE in the Angels under him TOWARD GOD.  He began to make it appear very gradually and, but progressively, that Satan that God was lying.  That God was not telling them the absolute Truth.  That what God was telling them was not exactly what He meant until these Angels had their confidence Toward God absolutely shattered, destroyed.  ONCE THEY LOST CONFIDENCE IN GOD THEY BEGAN TO BE MORE, AND MORE PRONE TO GO THE WAY OF LUCIFER, feeling that was the WAY to security and to power and to a future that they wanted and deception.  He deceived all of those Angels under him.  As Mr. Armstrong commented over in Big Sandy, "We are going to have to judge Angels."  Maybe eventually they are going to see how hoodwinked they were by this great Lucifer.  That DESTROYED THEIR CONFIDENCE TOWARD GOD.  That misrepresented God.  That made God look like a liar, and himself look lily white, and made God look like He was a fabricator, a one that did not tell the Truth, one that twists it and said one thing but really meant another.  So eventually, they rebelled, and tried to take over the Universe, but God put them down with power. 

But Lucifer defends himself to this day, and the Angels under him who are now Demons still refuse.  I don't guess they even see it yet fully.  They will not acknowledge how much they were bamboozled, and hoodwinked, and deceived.  Oh, that's hard, it's really hard to say, "I was totally taken advantage of, I was an absolute idiot to have believed this, and done what I did."  That's one of the hardest things to see, and acknowledge there is, is that you have been made a fool of.  You have been absolutely unwise, stupid in what you have done.  Oh, we don't like that.  Did you ever notice how you kind of get ruffed up someone going, "You're a stupid jerk."  Boy everything in your body just sort of, you know, winds up.  but if they really get you thinking that and believing it, you are really upset unless you repent.  REPENTANCE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT. 

So when Lucifer, and the Angels finally became adversaries to God and tried to but Him out and they made this launch toward God throne, God put them down.  He changed Lucifer's name to Satan the Devil and God names things what they are.  Do you know what Satan means in the Greek?  It means Adversary and Devil in Greek means Slanderer.  God named Him what he had become.  He'd become God's Adversary through the use of Slander.  He had slandered God in the eyes of the Angels under him until they believed the slanderous remarks that finally made God look like a liar, and one who did not tell it straight. 

So GOD DRAFTED A MASTER PLAN.  And He said, "I'm not going to quit creating Life, but I've got to make sure this can never happen again."  So He set aside a seven thousand year period.  He says, "I'm going to make individuals.  I'm going to build a Family of individuals to be my own children, made in my own image.  But I've got to make sure they learn this lesson before they are permanent.  So they will never destroy their future like these Angels did."  So He said the first 6000 years is going to be a period of time when they actually participate in SATAN'S WAY until they come to realize it cannot be made to work and they come to where they want to vomit it out, and never again turn to it.  Then I'm going to intervene, and turn them around, and prove that I'm truthful, that I'm righteous, that I'm Holy, and MY WAY really does work.  In that first 6000 years, I will train, through the course of 6000 years, individuals to comprise this Government under My Son.  The one at the time, the Spokesman, the Logos, who would become the first born Son, so He can put together His Government at His second coming when the Human race can finally see they've been hoodwinked, bamboozled, deceived, misled by Satan from the Garden of Eden.  And they are going to have to go through this time of great trouble to convince Man of that. 

I know some teenagers have a hard time thinking this World is bad.  They look at the tinsel.  They see the glitter.  They don't realize what's really going on.  Most young women can't look at some old Bat walking down the street maybe turned in at the heels, you know, and her breasts have dropped down to her toes.  She's snaggle-toothed, cross-eyed, snuff dipping, and all that, and say, you know I'm going to get old too pretty soon.  No, they don't get that.  They think they'll never get old.  They'll always be beautiful.  They all fail to realize, they are like a mist.  Here today, and gone tomorrow, like a flower that's cut, its beauty withers, and it's ready for the fire.  So they don't prepare for the future.  They think the swinging way of life is it.  They don't think about, yeah but when you get older, what are you going to do?  When men don't want you any more, you won't have children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren around you.  You won't be able to look back and say, Boy, what a fulfilling life, look at my sons, and daughters, look at my grand daughters, and grand sons, look at my great grand daughters, and great grandsons.  Look back and say, look at what a wreck I made of myself.  I'm all beat up here, with holes from dope.  My life has been ruined.  I'm a cast off.  No one wants me.  I've ruined, and wrecked my life. 

Most people don't see past their noses.  They live for today and Paul said, if there's no God, then you better eat drink, and be merry for tomorrow you die.  But there is a God, and we better be concerned about eternity, and not just today, and maybe tomorrow.  This country is going down, and it's going down fast.  I've been around the World.  This is, as I said my eleventh time.  You can't believe how inflation is destroying countries. 

In England, I don't think I found a hotel room under about $50 a night, most of them are 80-125, to $150 a night.  In Germany, they put me in a hotel in Hamburg 225 Marks.  Now a Mark you get about 1.70 Marks per dollar.  That means that's about $140 for a Hotel room.  Went down for breakfast, 'cause the Continental breakfast, which is a small glass of orange juice, spilled by the steward bringing it up, and you get about that much, you get some toast, jam and butter, and coffee, and that's anywhere from $8-12.  So went down and had a breakfast.  Half a grapefruit, they called it that.  I used to get these good pink Texas, that wasn't even, I don't even know how they even call it that a grapefruit.  Little old, white, scrawny, kind of dried up, and you could hardly get these little sections out.  Little old tiny knives with a real sharp end is the only way you could get anything thing out.  So I had that, a bowl of porridge, or oatmeal and I had a three egg omelet, laid by Banty Hens, Ban Tam Hens, and a cup of you wouldn't want in Texas coffee, 17$ without tip.  I didn't tip. 

Even though we are really hurt by inflation, when you get back here and you have the competition among motels.  Now I can go in and get a Motel from some place over in Jordan a place like that under ten dollars, but it's an average.  You can pay from 20-30$ you know for a single.  Oh what a relief to come back.  I don't even try to, "Can you get this at a dollar discount?"  I don't even care, because I keep in mind, Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England, Scotland, Wales, and North Ireland.  Whew, we drove from Dublin in Ireland up across the border in North Ireland.  Very cold day, but it was sunny, and here's a woman out here policeman stopping us, two other men here with rifles.  They pulled in and give you a check, and they say there are at least two or three in the bushes in case this, you know some of the terrorists, the IRA.  Then they've got 3 or 4 men with guns already positioned on the car.  So if they start shooting, you get it right back. 

Drive up going to Belfast.  I stayed in what's the best Hotel in Belfast, called the Europa.  You couldn't believe they had a big barricade.  You couldn't even get into the parking area without going through a barricade as you left the gate.  Debris, trash all around, small parking area, high fences all around the hotel.  I've learned that hotel had been bombed any number of times.  It was cold over there.  It snowed some that day.  It was sunny coming up, but it got cloudy up close to Belfast, and it began to snow, and I'm a warm natured person.  I'm from Texas.  60 degrees is as cold as I want it in mid winter.  Well they had this Norther of the year coming through, and I got up in that little small room, and it was cold, and I went over to the radiator, and I leaned up against it, and I couldn't really distinguish whether the thing was on, or off.  And that's supposed to heat this room of course it was a small room.  I was telling Mr. Bedford, I mean Mr. Ellis that night I said is there any way we can get some more heat.  I'm going to freeze in this place.  You know if it gets down to 70, I get cold, and that was down about freezing, and he talked to the manager.  They didn't have any extra heaters, or anything, and they sent me two more blankets up.  I put two pairs of socks on, put the extra two blankets on, plus the bedspread and still shook. 

Well, I get my prayer in the next morning.  I went in and filled the bathtub with hot water.  at least they had hot water.  I steamed up the bathroom.  Oh, that felt good.  Then they charge you a little cheaper there.  I guess probably about $60 or 70 for the room.  Last time I was over there, in 1975, no I'm sorry 1973, going in from Liverpool, I mean, Glasgow Scotland to Belfast.  We drove through town, and saw several places where bombs had gone off that night.  They were cordoned off still smoking right in town.  Finished my Bible Study, and a great bomb went off somewhere around because it really shook the building.  You know those people know the Millennium's not here.  They don't have to say, "Oh, boy, this is a good World."  They're shaky.  Their nerves are frayed.  So when you go around their World and you see a lot of that, you realize this World is in terrible shape, and it's just about ready to collapse. 

Some of you people don't know that Europe could wreak the economy of the United States just like that, by calling all of the dollars in.  Demanding payment for all of the gold, or demanding the Gold I should say for outstanding dollars.  They only allow us to keep going because the tidal wave from such an economic collapse now would hurt Europe too much.  But the margin is getting smaller all of the time and I'll tell you Americans are not very well respected and where the American dollar used to really carry weight and respect, a lot of time they don't even want it.  I've been traveling of course in God's work for I went to England in early 1957.  So I've been traveling a few years in the work.  So I've seen the deterioration of the International scene toward Americans and the collapse of the dollar, and we're getting down to rock bottom.  So let's not put our trust in the Gold and the Silver. 

So here, God set up this plan, and He started the process to teach His future Family, Don't make this mistake.  In other words, learn the lesson now, so thoroughly, that when I change you to Spirit, you'll never make that mistake in the future, and wreck your eternity.  Let's go back to Genesis 3 because this is the setting, and see what system God allowed to be set in motion, and it's still going.  But God through Mr. Armstrong now, Christ is reversing through a small number of representatives of the rest of Mankind.  He is SETTING UP THE WAY to reverse the whole system throughout the entire World through a process of RE-Education. 

Genesis 3 verse 1, Now the Serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Eternal God had made.  And He said unto the…  In other words, Satan is working through a Serpent.  That's why the symbol you know Serpent is related to Satan.  Yea, and he said unto the Woman…  Now you see had he been honest and straight forward, do you know what he'd have said?  He'd said "What a great God, He's just made you.  What a benevolent God.  I want you to realize what a great, wonderful, magnanimous, magnificent God has just put you in the Garden.  He has built this great big beautiful Garden."  That'd make any botanical garden that man has ever created look like something that came out of the slop jar.  That's pretty bad isn't it, by way of comparison. 

This Garden was absolutely perfect, because God Himself designed it, and made it, his own hands.  So Satan should've come, had he been honest and said, "What a great God has just created you.  Look what He's built here.  He's built this great Garden.  Beautiful!  Look all around you, and see all of the beauty.  He produced it Himself.  You didn't do one thing to produce it.  But He is so out going and He's so much of a giver that He's going to give you everything in this Garden except just one little old tree.  Now a number of you think that the one who would produce this would keep about 99% and give you one, but He is giving you all except one tree.  Why don't you get on your knees and begin to thank him."  He didn't come that way. 

Mr. Armstrong has often made the statement that a person gets so close to the tree, he loses sight of the forest.  Satan knows that tactic.  So he got Adam and Eve looking at one tree.  You know right up against the tree, and that's all they saw.  So he said, "AH HA, God won't let you eat of this tree, will He?"  She should've said, "Get out of here we don't need to look at all those we have.  We can never get around to this anyway, so why should we ruin it."  But Satan took their eyes off everything else. 

Just like I've seen him take peoples eyes off of the fact that God built this work through Mr. Armstrong from Eugene OR., Pasadena CA., all across the United States, across Canada, and around the World.  When I took my first baptizing tour back in 1954, do you know how many Churches there were in God's Church, how many congregations?  Six, five of those were on the west coast, two in California.  Pasadena, the Headquarters Church was about 120 to 130 with all of the students.  That's all we had.  San Diego, a 120 miles to the south, had 25 approximately.  I remember going down there, we'd call on Mr. Jackson, Mr. Harold Jackson to do the opening or closing prayer, cause he had this great big booming voice.  It made us feel bigger than we were.  Oh, that was good to hear that strong voice.  Made us swell out and you'd think we had at least 35.  Then those three churches up in Oregon, they were so far away.  They weren't even in California, and Eugene, Salem, and Portland.  Oh, that was way off.  That was almost beyond grasp, all the way out of California.  Then this one Church in the way over there in Gladewater Texas, Glad water Texas, there weren't more than 15 or 20, I guess in it, and that was it. 

So I don't want to lose sight of what's been done and when I visit, as I did this last time, 550 Churches and that's not all of them.  There are probably at least 50 that I had to miss one way or the other around the World, probably well over 600.  I realize all of those have been built by Christ through that one man, and I've seen all this growth over these years to encircle the Globe.  In fact, I was the one who helped pioneer the work in England, completely pioneered in Australia, the Philippines, and South Africa.  So I didn't want to lose sight, and let Satan get me on some immediate thing, and say, "Ah ha, look at that."  You ought to say, "Don't worry.  Don't worry about it.  Look at all that Christ has done through Mr. Armstrong, so get thee hence." 

But he's an artist and, "Do you know where the money's going?  Do you know how much He gave Mr. Rader, WOOO!"  Eyes crossed; ears tilt over; hair falls out.  It's not why mine fell out.  You know it happened several years ago you see.  Don't let that happen to you, toenails curl up, computer shorts out, and from then on, you're gone, very short sighted.  It's all going to fail pretty soon.  The money's only a vehicle.  God could rain billions of those on his work, but He would destroy you and me in the process.  It's a matter of learning to give and sacrifice, and then you've got to trust Jesus Christ to manage His own affairs the way He knows best.  You don't know the factors involved, the consideration involved, why decisions are made, that case, or other cases.  That's out of your territory.  That's Christ's responsibility, under His Father's overall approval.  So you need to keep perspective and realize where responsibility lies, and that's out of my hands.  It's out of yours.  It's in the hands of God and Christ.  It's none of my concern. 

CALLING GOD A LIAR

Some of you may have heard me make the comment in my sermons around this part of the World, that I made originally to the Australians down in Sydney in early 1960 preaching on Government.  I went through all these scriptures showed that it's from the top down.  That Christ works through Mr. Armstrong now as He worked through Moses, as He worked through David, and so forth, and through Peter.  He struck two people dead who defied that authority.  Remember in the New Testament, after John 3:16, so no one, people will work all night sometimes trying to slip Acts 5 out of the New Testament, and squeeze it into between Numbers 5, and 6, and every time they wake up in the morning, it's back over in Acts.  If they could just put that back it would work.  "Christ has repented, He's changed.  He used to do things like that.  He wouldn't do that since the cross.  Oh He's changed, and now it's just Love.  Love and more love, no more blood and thunder." 

So here was the Apostle Peter, and Ananias and Safira lied and he said, "You haven't lied to me, you've lied to God.  You have tempted Christ, and you've lied to the Holy Spirit."  And God struck them dead.  So God doesn't change.  He's very patient.  He's going to all a little more time, but don't think that when we get out of the authorities, or when authorities are no longer a concern.  See back then they could just carry the people out and bury them.  Today, you'd have autopsies, legal entanglements, and on and on.  So don't think God has changed.  He's just allowing the people today, because of this wretched old world we've all growed up in and it's so hard to educate us to where responsibility lies that God has been very patient, but there comes a time when the patience has run its course, and then God will have to take action. 

I remember Mr. Armstrong talked to the Ministers in Pasadena in the conference, no it was in Tucson.  The conference in 1979 and He went though the primacy of Peter, and he went through this whole thing.  I thought it was one of the most inspired sermons I had ever heard Mr. Armstrong give.  It was during the conference and later, after he had explained about Ananias and Safira and about Job and so on.  He said, "Some of you Men do not recognize the authority that God has invested in me!"  He said, "God may very well have to strike some of you dead, or cause you to break out in boils before you learn the lesson."  Do you think God has changed?  There may certainly come a time and probably not too far off when there is no longer the legal thing, when God might have to take some real drastic measures.  He doesn't want that to be the reason why you follow Him today, if you are being judged by the Word of God, and not by what you see.  But I'll guarantee you if someone tries something and God had a choice so to speak, He would strike that person dead in preference to laying any harm come to His Apostle.  You had better believe that. 

All right, He says in verse 1 (breaking into the middle of the verse in Genesis chapter 3).  …Yea has God said, You shalt not eat of every tree of the Garden?  And the woman said unto the Serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the Garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the Garden, God said You shall not eat of it neither shall you touch it, lest you die.  Then Satan comes along as a serpent and says:  And the serpent said to the Woman, You shall not surely die.  Right away, he called God a liar.  Then the test was, would you believe God, or would you believe the Devil.  You know whom they believed?  They believed the Devil.  So by believing, and agreeing with the Devil, it meant the called God a Liar!  You better believe that's what they did!  God said, In the day that you eat you will surely die.  And the Devil said, "No you won't."  And they said, "Oh, we agree with you."  Therefore, THEY CALLED GOD A LIAR!

And then the Devil proceeded to twist what God had said to try to make it look like you cannot depend and trust in what God tells you.  He is not straightforward.  First of all Satan wants people to think, God's a Liar, and then to twist what He said around, and say, "He really didn't tell you the Truth."  And that destroys confidence.  That's the way Satan got these Angels against God, by making God look like a liar and by twisting what God had promised or said, UNTIL THEIR CONFIDENCE IN GOD WAS SHATTERED AND THEN DESTROYED.  So God set Mankind on the Earth to begin to learn this lesson while we're still flesh and blood.  So those who learn the lesson could be made Immortal, and then God knows they're set, and they'll never look away from their Father.  They'll never look right, or left, and believe anything other than what the Father tells through His reliable and constituted authority that everyone must submit too, of God and Christ, right on down.  Then God will have a family, that cannot ever repeat this mistake.

For God does know in the day that you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be open, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  He applied to their lust and vanity and got them to live by sight.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food…  That's living by sight – she saw.  …and that the tree was good for food…  She began to desire.  …and a tree to be desired to make one wise.  So she lusted after that, vanity.  She took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave it to her husband, and he did eat.  Notice what God started right here.  He started the teaching process, the lesson of training of a future family.  You'd better believe what I tell you.  You better believe when I tell you that's exactly the way it is and you better live by faith, and not by sight, or you'll get caught up by what you see, and begin to reject what I tell you.  The just shall live by faith.

So Satan first of all got Adam and Eve to believe God's a liar.  That what He says is not straightforward, there's a twist to it.  You've got to understand what God really means.  You can't trust what He said.  There's got to be a twist to it, and then you begin to trust in yourself, and only do what you can see, or taste, or feel, or desire.  Live by sight, and make your own decisions. 

All right, that has been the process for 6000 years.  The Human race has been calling God a liar, even religionists of all people.  "OH, they wouldn't."  Is that right?  God says, you shall surely die, and they say "Oh no, we are an immortal soul."  God says, you're to keep my Sabbath.  "Well no, we'll keep Sunday."  God says you shall keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  "No, we'll keep Christmas."  God says the man is the head of the house.  The woman says, "Oh no, we don't accept that."  God says, No effeminate will make the Kingdom of God And they say, "We don't believe.  Even perverts and queers will make it."  God says No thief will make it.  "Nah, that's all right it's just a way of life."  They teach it in the schools.  You know how to take advantage of your friends.  Get him, before he gets you, the survival of the fittest.  God says you'll inherit the Earth.  They say, "No we won't inherit the Earth, we're going to heaven.  You don't think they call God a liar? 

So the whole human race, I don't care what segment you want to analyze, they call God a Liar.  Now they don't know it.  They're deceived.  That's how crafty the Devil is.  They really think they're right, but they're deceived.  The whole world, Satan's deceived all nations.  It's the hardest thing in the World for people.  It's the simplest thing, and yet the hardest for people to learn how to accept, because they hear someone, "Oh I'm just going down to Sunday school to teach about…"  "Oh she must be of God, because she's so sincere."  Sincerity has nothing to do with it.  It's whether you're right of wrong.  You're right if you follow God, and you're wrong if you don't, simple as ABC. 

All right, as I said, what Christ is doing is reversing a trend and a WAY OF LIFE on the Earth that's been extant for 6000 years, and when He caused Mr. Armstrong to be born, and trained him.  He was getting the tool, the messenger, the vehicle, the instrument through which he would prepare for His coming, to make the change, and to bring about a pivot, from this world to the World Tomorrow, from Satan's WAY, to God's WAY, from the WAY of GET, to the WAY of GIVE.  So what He started through Mr. Armstrong is the process of preparing to change the course of life on the Earth, and once He started that countdown there is no changing.  There is no deviation.  Christ is preparing for His second coming and He'll do it through His Apostle. 

Now in order for us to be a people that live by Faith and be qualifying to assist Christ in reversing the whole trend, in the way of life on the Earth, we must believe God.  Oh people, "Oh we believe God, Oh wait a minute now…"  Lip service is easy!  God looks at the actions.  He's going to judge us according to our works, and the mouthings mean nothing, unless they are backed up by deeds.  Faith without works is dead.  Words with out works are futile, worthless, empty, vain, purposeless, misdirected.  Now God say in Titus 1 verse 2 He cannot lie.  He also says that in other places.  God, who cannot lie.  Now Satan back there got Adam and Eve to say that God can lie, and they believed it and the Human race ever since has been believing that God does lie.  They don't tremble before this word.  They say, "We're Immortal Souls, We're going to Heaven.  Anyone can come to Christ who may."  And Christ says, No one can come to me except the Father does draw him (John 6:44). 

Billy Graham and all them get up and say just anyone can come right now, "OK, we're going to have the altar call, come right down…"  And he as wrong as wrong can be.  Calling God a liar!  Now I said they're deceived, but they are still calling God a liar.  GOD DOESN'T CHANGE TO FIT THEIR STATEMENTS, just because they're deceived.  God says I change not.  So you can only be right as long as you are in line with God.  I don't care how sincere you think you are.  YOU'RE ONLY RIGHT IF YOU'RE WITH GOD, WHO IS RIGHT.  You're only following God, when you're following God.  It's pretty simple, isn't it? 

Christ said if anyone says, He knows God, and doesn't keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the Truth is not in him (I John 2:4).  Christ said that many will come near in that day, and say, "Lord, Lord, haven't we done many mighty deeds," and He says, "Get, depart from Me. you workers of iniquity, I have not known you."  You know God by obeying Him.  All right, this is a scripture.  It's a big test on God's Church.  To be part of that group which is going to reverse the trend of Life on the Earth, we have to be those that reverse what started in the Garden of Eden.  And say, and prove by our works, that God cannot lie.  Now I'm going to read some pretty direct statements a little bit later, AND THEN THE TEST IS DO YOU BELIEVE IT.  And I can point, I'm not going to name names, but I can point to many top men and many people in God's Church who have left, and they have either hidden their eyes from, or called God a liar, by the very actions that they've taken, because they don't believe the clear statements God has made. 

I prayed that I'd be a little bit calmer today, but I can't.  I'll tell you.  All right, there's another scripture over here that we've got to believe.  It's in John 10, and verse 35, or 36.  I'll let you know when I get there verse 35.  Now here is Jesus Christ speaking, who's the Head of this Church.  He said in verse 35.  If he called them gods, unto to whom the Word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken.  Do you know what He's saying?  He's said this scripture cannot be broken.  First of all, if you're going to be on God's team, you got to know that God will never Lie, never has, and never will, or you could be misled.  Just like a third of the Angels, who were far superior to Human beings, all fell for that great line.  Christ said he was a liar from the beginning and all these Angels were deceived into believing what he told them, which meant they called God a liar by their very deeds, if not by their words.  What they did, called God a liar and then they began to believe in the twisted explanations of Satan about what God really meant or why He didn't tell them exactly what Lucifer saw, decided on, or done at Headquarters.  So Christ said, and the scripture cannot be broken.  So if we're going to be God's people we are going to have to believe two things as a premise that God cannot lie, and the scripture cannot be broken.  Then when you turn to a clear-cut scripture and you read what God said, and you don't believe it, you are just like Adam and Eve calling God a liar and you're calling Jesus Christ a liar, who said the scripture cannot be broken. 

True conversion is back to God first and then to Jesus Christ, and if you're not converted then you're still carnal and in your sins.  You can't be converted to God and Christ unless you believe where they are working and what they are doing and what they have prophesied to do.  Remember God says I cannot lie, and the scripture cannot be broken.  What God started through Mr. Armstrong and by way of Christ was preparing to change the course of conduct on the Earth.  That's why He inspired the educational program to be based on the premise - The Word of God is the Foundation of Knowledge.  If any of you saw my slide that I used to show around the World, you will recall that I used to show this slide taken from the area just over the door to the entrance on the west side of Ambassador Hall where the Words are deeply etched into the cement:  THE WORD OF GOD IS THE FOUNDATION OF KNOWLEDGE. 

We don't have various statements, Shakespeare said this, Chaucer said this, Epitous, Darwin said this.  Balderdash!  We don't care about those perverts.  We believe what God says and Ambassador College and the Worldwide Church of God is predicated on this Word.  Everyone who is a true believer believes it and they know that this foundational knowledge book cannot be violated, or you're wrong.  If you violated it, you are wrong.  If you adhere to it, God will back you up.  The Word of God is the power unto Salvation, unto those who believe.  That's a pretty logical course for God to take.  He says, "OK I will bless, and help those who believe me, and those who don't, I'm not going to help.  And to whatever degree they believe me, it is the degree by which I help him.  So the more they believe then the more help I give them.  The more they can believe, the more help I give, and they grow."  Do you think God's a nincompoop?  He says, "Well, they don't believe you Son, but bless them anyway."  He'll bless them right into the Lake of Fire.  God blesses those who believe Him.  Because we were put here to become Children of the Most High God and He will not make us permanent unless we believe in the Head of the Family, unless we believe ALL He says.  Most people will say, "Ha Ha, I'll believe God in this, but then go ahead and take this…"  YOU GOT TO BELIEVE ALL THAT GOD SAYS, NOT JUST WHAT YOU CHOOSE. 

So God started a program through the Apostle that He conquered way back in 1927, and He conquered him all over.  He gave him seven years to prove loyal and conquered.  Then through him, he raised up the Philadelphia Era, as the means to build a team under the Apostle to assist him not only today, but in the World Tomorrow.  Then the big job that lies ahead of us in the World Tomorrow, reeducating the whole World.  Do you know what the motto of Ambassador College is, Recapture True Values.  It's not, come to this Bible College and do your thing.  Come out here and smoke pot.  Come out here and have Co-ed dormitories and experiment with fire.  It's what you'd be experimenting, a lot worse than fire of course, the Lake of Fire.  I guess that'd be enough fire isn't it? 

Why is the man's name, Herbert Armstrong?  Why is it Ambassador College?  Why isn't it Armstrong Bible College?  Ambassador College, we're God's Ambassadors.  Why is it called, the World Tomorrow broadcast?  Why isn't it, The Fiery tongue of the Lord, The sweet sayings of the Silent God?  The World tomorrow because it's talking about the World to come.  Why is it called, The Plain Truth?  Why not God's Message for the Hour or something like that?  Everything God leads us in has purpose to it, has a reason and rhyme. 

So He started the educational aspect of his program, based on this Word.  So right away Mr. Armstrong says, "OK the Word of God is the Foundation of Knowledge, all of you professors and teachers make sure this is your basis."  Then Satan got in there and got them all caught up and they began to ignore this and teach what they had learned from other 'cemeteries.'  I call them cemeteries.  They call them Seminaries.  I call them Cemeteries.  Like Fuller Cemetery and Clairmont Cemetery, because that's where the Spiritually dead are.  They're just not buried yet.  They will be soon, unless they repent.  So God started the process of building the Educational Arm through the Apostle.  It had to be based on the Word of God. 

GOD'S GOVERNMENT

Now God let us learn some Lessons by letting all of this Liberalism come in so we can come to see what it does.  God could of remove Garner Ted ten years ago, but he chose not to.  It's all worked out of plan and purpose.  He wanted us to see how far off the track we'd get without Government.  If God had begun to enforce strong Government through Mr. Armstrong to a Church that was already in line, you'd say we don't need this strong Government.  We were doing pretty well without it.  But when we got way over in the Protestant camp then anyone that has one eye to see, can see why you need strong Government.  Because without it we got way off the track behind the Loose Caboose and Government, put us back on.  It also measured out quite a number of people who didn't want to follow that Government and it's still measuring out a few don't want to follow that Government.  Mr. Armstrong has said repeatedly the whole issue is Government.  God is preparing to restore Government to the Earth that was removed when Satan and the Angels rebelled and it's been restored in only one place.  That's in God's Church preparing us to be a part of that Government when it's established on the Earth, and we've got to believe in it.  BOY, AM I THANKFUL FOR GOVERNMENT. 

If we didn't have strong Government through Mr. Armstrong, we'd still be doing our thing.  We'd still be trying to figure, who do I want to follow?  Now if Dr.  Kuhn said this, Dr. Kraught said this.  Dr. Bleigh said this, and Dr. Friego said this I, I, which one do I want?  We don't have a choice.  We don't have to decide, and then open up the door for Satan's deception.  When you know where the Authority rests, where the Government comes, and through whom it comes, and who has that final Authority, then you don't have to worry about, "Well who's right?" when several things are said, because several things are not being said. 

You go out to that refreshing program as Mr. Smith has and others.  You realize all those men are out there backing up the Apostle.  They know where Christ works.  They don't get up and say, "Well, now here's what I have just learned from the Fullers Cemetery, and now we're coming to see gradually, but thankfully, by way of the Greek, and by way of Ancient Authority, and by way of modern scholars that we have been wrong in believing in this, that, and the other.  Now because the people want this, and because the Greek is open to twist around to this, and because we want to be popular with the people, we don't seek God anyway.  Then we kind of feel that everything is moving along in that direction, and we're coming to see that tithing is no longer a Law, but a moderate suggestion.  We're coming to see that, you don't, no longer have to be loyal to your mate.  But if you don't please to dwell with her, boot her out and choose one from the tele as they're all lined up on a pageant, and go out and see if you can find a representative of that one you chose, and do your thing. 

If you don't want to keep the Feast and want to keep one day, fine.  Two, that's fine, if you don't want to keep it, then the Lord understands, because the Greek allows for it.  If you want your Saturday to be on Sunday, you know that God gave you this job, and He wouldn't have given you the job unless He wanted you to work.  So since, He gave you the job that requires Saturday work, that means and the Greek allows that you can work on Saturday, and just keep your Saturday, on Sunday.  And since you don't want to stay on Earth, but like to go to Heaven and the Greek says arise then your going to Heaven instead of staying on the Earth.  Let other ones stay down here and clean up this mess.  You want to go up and bask around, pluck harps, wax wings, and sit on thrones.  It's amazing how people begin to twist when they begin to play with Greek, and Hebrew, and Aramaic, and lower Slavovian, and East Texan.  You got to watch these languages.

So God raised up through Mr. Armstrong the beginning process as Christ prepares for His coming to change a few representatives a few from New Zealand, a few from Australia, a few from South Africa, a few from the islands, a few from Canada, and the United States, and all around.  So Christ has a representative group to work under the Apostle by way of which Christ can relate to the rest of mankind.  When all of the Australians go to a place of final training to be on Mr. Armstrong's team, who will be under Elijah so we all do this work of turning the Hearts of everyone to God.  Then Mr. Armstrong will use those on his team who were Australians finally a part of his team to deal with the rest of the Australians when they repent in the World Tomorrow.  That is by the World Tomorrow.  When people from Greater Cow town repent in the World Tomorrow, then those of you who are loyal all the way to a place of final training down in Petra and you become a part of the team.  Then you can understand the rest of the people from this area.  So God will have you deal with the rest of the people that you represent 'cause you should understand the people from this area a lot better than understanding some one from Itawamba.  Now where's Itawamba?  That's what I think makes the point, doesn't it? 

It would be kind of hard to go to someone and say we're you from Itawamba?  Yeah, you were doing, Well what were we doing?  I don't know?  Do you know where Itawamba?  No.  Well why are you trying to tell us what we are doing?  So shut up.  So God has people in Itawamba, and Tokumba, and Koolgari, and Calgiri, and Adelaide, and Perth, and Bundaburg, and Hamburg too.  That's up in Germany, and Melbourne, and Gelong, and Sydney, and Blue Mountains, and Grafton, and Newcastle, and Warwick, and Brisbane, and Townville, and Caines, and a lot of other places.  But they are all in training in Australia, as advanced trainees to join the Government of God, as a part of Mr. Armstrong's team, who will work loyally under Elijah.  Who will work under Abraham, Issac and Jacob, who will work under Christ, who will work under his Father. 

So when Christ says an avenue and He gets down to the Mechanics of religious education to spread them to all parts of the World, He has a team that represents the rest of mankind.  That is understandable.  That has the understanding of the rest of Mankind and can go to them and be known by many of them and you're changed to Spirit.  There are certain people who will survive through the Tribulation into the World Tomorrow who are going to know you, and they're going to know the power of God that brought you to where you are.  That will give them great courage to say, If God did that with you then I've got hope.  You say you surly have.  Look what He did with me.  He did the impossible.  So He can do the impossible to the rest of you. 

So then, that team will spread religion education worldwide to include all of mankind in the World Tomorrow.  This time it's only reaching a small percentage because it's only a training program to get a representative number from all around the World.  Geared to one team to go to a place of final training where all of the spots, blemishes, and wrinkles can be removed.  Then Christ can present that group to himself and know He can work through it and deal with the rest of Mankind.  We've got to believe that!  We've got to know that God will work through only one in doing that.  Look at some of the scriptures on that right quick.  First of all, here's another vital scripture, John 6.  since we're in the book of John let's turn back about four chapters.  John 6 verses 28, and 29.  Where He says, Then said they unto Him, What shall we do that we might do the works of God?  Now all of us should be concerned about the answer to that question.  What shall we do, to know that we're doing the works of God?  The answer is clear.  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the Work of God…  So here's the thing.  He didn't say, This is one of the choices, just choose which work you want to be a part of, they are all the Works of God.  No He says, This is the Work of God… a definitive statement, This is the Work of God, that you believe on whom he has sent.  Get the point? 

Beautiful scripture, a lot of people disagreed with that, when the legal thing came on the scene, "That just can't be of God, I quit."  But the very sad and unfortunate thing is they were not with us, last November and I was in India, Bombay India, at the time to observe the day of Thanksgiving.  Notice that.  See they did not stick with the Apostle through whom Christ does the Work until the victory was given.  So you must hang on to God, until the victory comes, and He only works through one man.  The scripture plainly says, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD THAT YOU BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HAS SENT.  Do you know what the name Apostle means?  It means ONE WHO IS SENT.  I'm not an Apostle, Me and Mr. Tkach, and Mr. Blackwood we're Evangelist, and we're sent by the Apostle.  HE'S THE ONLY ONE SENT DIRECTLY BY CHRIST.  An Apostle is one who is sent by Christ, AS is the Leader, ONE SENT.  Then we are Evangelists, and Pastors, and Preaching Elders, and we're all sent either by, directly by Mr. Armstrong, or by others.  But, WE'RE AN EXTENSION OF THE ONE THROUGH WHOM CHRIST WORKS TO GET A JOB DONE. 

Now if you understand this, then you don't judge the work.  You don't say, "Well now wait I don't think that's God's will.  I don't think that's the Work of God."  THE WAY YOU CAN ALWAYS KNOW IS THAT CHRIST DOES THE WORK OF GOD THROUGH THE APOSTLE AND YOU KEEP LOOKING TO HIM AND WHEREVER CHRIST LEADS HIM YOU FOLLOW.  GET THE POINT?  You don't say, "Well if he doesn't go over here, I'm going to quit."  Which some did when the legal thing came and said, "Well that's not the Work, I'm going to stick here."  Pretty soon the Work's over there, and your over here.  You're out of step.  Then when Christ sees you're with Mr. Armstrong every step, and he goes into the Kingdom, guess what, you go in with him.  You're still with him.  BUT YOU'VE GOT TO FOLLOW HIM UNTIL WE GO INTO THE KINGDOM.  If God leads him over here, and you're here, then he might get out of sight, and you don't even know where he is, so to speak.  Then when he goes into the Kingdom, you're not with him. 

This is the Work of God that you believe on him whom He has sent.  So today, He has raised up Mr. Armstrong, and sent him to RE-Preach the Gospel to the World, and Pioneer a program into the World Tomorrow, to reeducate the World.  Now the only way you can be sure and know that you can be sure, and are not open to the deceptions of Satan is to follow the one God has committed through.  Then you can't be siphoned off into thinking God works through this, that or the other person.  YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW HE WORKS THROUGH HIS MESSENGER.  THE ONE HE'S SENT.  The one through whom He is preparing for His second coming.  There are many scriptures throughout the Bible in regard to his calling.  Let's turn to just a few briefly, Malachi 3, and keep in mind these basic foundational scriptures I've already mentioned.  First of all, God cannot lie.  THAT'S A BIG TEST ON GOD'S CHURCH. 

MY MESSENGER

God wants people who prove even if the shedding of their blood is necessary that they know and they know they know that God will not lie.  If you're trying to condition God, and say God will not lie except under this or any other circumstance, you are not converted to God.  You've got to know, and you've got to know that you know, that God will not lie, and you've better be thankful for that.  If God ever lied once, you would never know when He might lie again.  And you would not have full confidence in God down through eternity.  How could God be sure of His Family when He saw a third of the Angels go off by believing He would Lie.  Unless He tests us, until He KNOWS that we have proved that we believe God when He says, "I will not Lie."  And also, the scripture where Jesus Christ who is your savior, and mine, the savior of the whole world said, "The scripture cannot be broken."  If you think this scripture is broken, you call Christ a Liar, and that you do the Work of God, only when you're following Him whom He has sent.  BRETHREN THERE CAN BE NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THOSE BASIC SCRIPTURES.  Then those that you see based on those absolutes, one of which is back here in Malachi 3. 

Do you know what the book of Malachi means?  It means, MESSENGER.  That's what the Book of Malachi meas.  That's what the word itself means.  Malachi means Messenger.  It's a book about the Messenger and it defines who recognizes Him.  Who follows Him and who doesn't.  It gives a clear attitude of Laodiceanism, and TRUE Philadelphianism.  The whole Book shows the two attitudes.  Some that criticize God and say His WAY is too hard.  His table is contemptible.  They want to offer perverted sacrifices.  Then others who recognize the Messenger and they believe Who's behind him, and they stick with him.  Malachi 3 verse 1.  He says, "BEHOLD..."  Does your translation have capital letters there?  Notice God didn't say in small letters, "Hello, Hello out there."  He says, "BEHOLD, I will send My Messenger…"  You'd better believe that.  If you don't you're just like Adam, and Eve.  You have not proved yet that you know God will not lie, and that the scripture cannot be broken.  If you do not believe this, you may as well (cuts off).  Let's see, what'd I do there?  I stepped on my source of power.  Well I really didn't, the source of power is the Holy Spirit.  You can't step on it.  But it only amplifies what you are doing.  I stepped on that. 

You see these are the test scriptures.  You have to KNOW, that is you have to KNOW, and you have to PROVE YOU KNOW and you INTEND TO BELIEVE, and to SHOW THAT BELIEF BY YOUR WORKS, that God cannot LIE, and the scripture cannot be broken; and God works through a man, a Leader, and He is doing a work of God through him.  BEHOLD, I will send My Messenger.  Powerful scriptures.  He didn't say, "Hello, I'm going to send your messenger, so you can lead Him."  No, He says he's My Messenger.  That's God speaking.  And 'MY' is a personal pronoun.  Oh, you know what MY means.  Especially when you have a new car, it's shiny and a little rubber comes along to scratch the side.  You know what you say, "Get your hands off MY car!"  It belongs to you, so you get a little bit jealous over that.  So God gets pretty jealous too and He is a Jealous God.  He says, "He is MY Messenger!"  God has tolerated this nonsense of people thinking they can control the Messenger, when that's Christ's responsibility.  That's why He makes decisions, so He can test your faith, and to test mine, to see if we really believe He is in charge AND HE'LL ALWAYS BACK UP HIS SERVANT, or He belongs to the Message, He belongs to us after all. 

You see the Authority is from the top down, God through Christ, through Mr. Armstrong.  And He says, "He's MY Messenger."  He says, BEHOLD, I will send MY Messenger…  He didn't say, "Hello, now I want all of you to vote your Messenger in and if you don't like Him, you vote him out."  No that's not what He said, "BEHOLD I will send MY Messenger…"  That's all coming from God.  He says, "I send Him.  He is MINE."  Now the test is:  Do you think God can handle His own Messenger?  That's the test.  I've seen a lot leave that don't believe that.  They try to control him and Christ boots them out.  They say, "Boy, I was right after all this old man can't keep going."  They look to him like vultures.  "He's got to die soon.  How long can that man live?"  And I may prepare the WAY for MY coming, if he keeps going but He may not.  He probably won't, His heart will probably fail.  So I probably won't, prepare, and I won't come, so bye. 

Now what is that?  Now that's the way most people read the scriptures.  They don't let God be true, and everything to the contrary a lie, and KNOW that God will not lie.  He cannot, and will not break a scripture.  If God ever broke one promise, or one scripture, you would never know at what time He might break another one down into eternity.  So His Family would always live with apprehension.  When will the old Man lie next?  What promise will he break next?  You could never have security down into Eternity.  Unless you KNOW that God Almighty will never lie and He will NEVER break a promise and He'll always work, through the ONE He says He'll work through.  When someone says God doesn't, He's not really working through any.  You're calling God a Liar! 

Christ said He is preparing the WAY for His coming through His Messenger.  Now that's quite simple.  A second grader could understand that, probably a first grader, probably a kindergartener might, and then some babies even younger than that could.  …and the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to His Temple (continuing in verse one)…  Now all of these 5 verses in Malachi 3 are speaking about the second coming of Christ verses 2, 3, 4, and 5.  I think Mr. Armstrong even covered it over in Big Sandy.  I've covered that all around the World.  It's very plain if you read all those scriptures which I won't do now, but you can go through and analyze them.  Every one shows it's talking about Christ's second coming.  Things He will do at, and just following His second coming.  So the scripture is directly referring to the Message today, and applied to John the Baptist indirectly because there is duality.  There are TWO comings of Christ and John was the ELIJAH coming, preparing the WAY for Christ's first coming. 

Mr. Armstrong now is the ELIJAH coming, preparing the WAY for Christ's second coming, but the second coming of Christ is millions of times more profound than the first coming.  He came the first time to die as a Human Being.  He didn't look forward to that very much.  That was quite an ordeal.  But now He's coming back a Conquering King to save the World.  He died to make possible what He's going to do now.  The death was not an end result.  It was a means to an end. 

The purpose of His death was to build a Great Family, to pay the penalty and to be the Captain of our salvation.  Now He's coming back to offer the WHOLE WORLD SALVATION and the preparation to deal with the whole World is a lot more than for Him to come and die and John prepared only a handful of disciples for Christ.  Now Mr. Armstrong is preparing, being used as an instrument, to prepare a WHOLE CHURCH, and to prepare ALL of the Israelites, Americans, Canadians, Australians, South Africans, British, The French, Norwegians, Swedes, Finns, and all of the other Israelites, South Africans.  He's preparing them, so they'll be ready to follow Jesus Christ at His second coming.  So when He comes He'll deliver them out of the North Country and out of all countries into which they have been dispersed, and lead them into the land of Palestine and make a NEW Covenant with them, and they will be his people. 

So Mr. Armstrong is being used not only to prepare a Church, but to set up and prepare God's people Israel.  Who don't know God now, but to GET A MESSAGE OUT AND TELL THEM WHOM THEY ARE AND THE TRIBULATION AND WHAT FOLLOWS.  SO THEY CAN REPENT in Tribulation and turn to God.  So they are being prepared.  So the second coming of Christ is what God emphasizes, because that is more profound.  Get rid of this dumb Protestant concept, it's all Jesus on the stake.  They just see that as an end result and then from then on you don't do anything except accept it.  That's just the BEGINNING.  There's six Festivals after the Passover.  They don't know the Passover.  They think its Easter.  That's only beginning.  Now Christ came back to continue what He died to make possible.  That's what's important to God. 

All right Malachi 3, now I mentioned the TWO ATTITUDES.  You can read Malachi 1, and 2, and part of 3 here, and see an attitude that criticizes God.  Speaks against God, speaks against His Law, speaks against His Sacrifices, and on and on which the Liberalism, Liberals did.  Then we come to verse 16.  It says, Then they that feared the Eternal…  See we've got to come to where we have that right fear, and respect, and awe toward God.  God says back in Isaiah 66 (verse 2) To this Man will I look, He that is contrite of Spirit, and trembles at my Word.  Do you think most people tremble this way?  They could care less.  That's just something they care at Weddings, that just blow the dust off, with weddings usually fourth or fifth in this World.  They probably don't even carry a Bible anymore.  The Bible is not trembled before the World, the people in the world. 

Why these religions get up here and they 4 or 5 pet scriptures, and everything has to do with nullifying God's Government.  Mr. Armstrong makes mentions repeatedly.  You don't hear the Gospel of the Kingdom of God preached.  You don't hear about the Government of God.  You don't hear about Christ coming as a King to rule.  You only hear about Him as a Savior, to accept, and be saved, so you can get Salvation, always getting, taking to yourself. 

Malachi 3, we should be those that He's speaking about here, AND WE ARE, WE MUST JUST CONTINUE.  (Continuing in verse 16)  Then they that feared the Eternal spake often one to another…  We've got to get back Brethren where the Work of God, where what Christ is doing through Mr. Armstrong and us is a team and the Work, and the College, and everything He is getting ready for the World Tomorrow is what we're concerned about.  Instead of coming to say, "Well what's the latest fashion?  What do you plan on doing tonight, when this old Sabbath is over?  What time is sunset?  We don't want to do it too soon.  Fire might come down from heaven to blow.  I just can hardly wait till the Sabbath is over and we can go out and enjoy ourselves, and have fun.  That's not really being more concerned about God's plan and purpose than the World.  Christ inspired John to say, Love not the World, nor the things that are in the World (I John 2:15)…the lust of the eyes…  That's living by sight and. …the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life…  It all came from Satan, and was spawned through Adam, and Eve.  The Garden of Eden has been the criteria of life ever since.  It says, Don't Love this, Love not the World, nor the things in the World, the lust of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, the pride of life, which are not of God. 

RECOGNIZING THE MESSENGER

But what is of God?  His work.  So when God looks down on his people and He says, "Now who comes first, me and my future or the World?"  And He hears people, "Well what have you been doing during the week?  What are you doing next week?  What time is sunset, so we can do something?  Well what have we got scheduled?  Where's a good movie?  Is there a good wrestling night somewhere?"  Those people are real honest.  Boy those wrestling nights are straightforward.  Boy, there's no fakery there.  I don't know how anyone can watch any of those dumb wrestlers.  One can sit here and pound, and pound, and pound, and pulverize, you think, and the other person gets up and pounds.  Why if they really did that the other person would be dead on the floor.  It's such fakery.  A lot of people eat that up, like they do a lot of religious garbage. 

So God wants people that do this, that's why He's got a Book of Remembrance up there and He etches in names in the Book of Life, and the Book of Remembrance.  Who of those who have been called in Life, are really Qualifying.  Who are those that I'm going to spare, when the Tribulation comes.  THEY ARE THE ONES THAT TALK ABOUT MY WORK, THEY EXTOL AND MAGNIFY ME, AND MY SON AND OUR APOSTLE, AND OUR WORK, AND OUR CHURCH.  THEY'RE THE ONES WHOSE LIVES ARE INVOLVED IN WHAT WE ARE DOING AND THEY HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS.  THEY SEEK GLORY AND HONOR AND IMMORTALITY, ETERNAL LIFE.  THEY SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, knowing all the things that they need will be added.  Then they have their hearts set on the true values.  …A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE WAS WRITTEN BEFORE HIM FOR THEM THAT FEARED THE ETERNAL, AND THOUGHT UPON HIS NAME (continuing in Malachi 3:16). 

I tell you we've got to begin to think about God and Christ, and their Work, and our calling a lot more.  So it's, you know, whatever you are comes out, and if you open your mouth, and Worldly things come out, and Worldly thoughts, then you're Worldly.  But if you always have this answer, you know that God is on his throne.  I remember Mr. Fay sent a telex down to Australia because he saw some of the Ministers down there were in fact were all caught up, and didn't know their left hand from their right hand spiritually speaking.  He wrote this Telex, and at the end he says, "Men, remember the resurrection is not already past and Christ's second coming is still the only hope of the World and the Millennium is still on.  Keep the important things in mind."  Don't get caught up on the little picky points, the important thing is that Christ's coming is still on.  The resurrection is not past, and the Millennium is still going to come about.  That's what is important. 

Verse 17, And they shall be MINE…  God says …says the Eternal of Hosts, in that day when I make them my Jewels…  Do you know what God calls those that really set their Hearst on Him?  Jewels, my margin has special treasures.  Did you ever notice how you treat a special treasure?  You have it locked up in your safe, your box or your safe deposit box?  You really protect that.  Now God says those when the Tribulation starts, they really think on Him.  Think on Christ, think on their Work, then THEY are going to be like a very SPECIAL TREASURE, not just like, but a Special Treasure.  GOD'S GOING TO PROTECT US FROM THE GREAT TRIBULATION, BUT THEY ARE THE ONES THAT ARE DOING THE WORK OF GOD.  That believe in the Work of God, by way of which Christ is preparing for His coming and in that preparation, preparing to RE-Educate the World.  To take people from all around the World to ONE PLACE to get us together so we become ONE, UNDER GOD, by Religious Control,  so that Society worships the Great God every Sabbath, and every annual occasion down in Petra, for 3 ½ years with purpose. 

There won't be any down there saying, "Well I wonder when we can go out and maybe go up, can't we go to Europe where the fun is, go to Paris.  Let's go out and do something.  Are there any boxing matches on, any racehorses, any gambling, or 'Where's Las Vegas?'  Paris well maybe they transferred it, maybe it's up north of Petra?  Maybe we'll go out."  No there won't be any down there concerned about that.  They'd be concerned about getting everything ready for the World tomorrow.  It will be under God by religious control, everyone worshiping God and through the other 6 days of the week everything geared toward God's way of TRUE VALUES, Entertainment, culture, recreation, athletics, family life, social life, academic progress and a good solid work made one to help produce to make that place more like God wants it to be.  Firsts you'll be concerned about the WAY OF LIFE, and then making sure the environment is spic, and span, that typifies progress toward the World tomorrow. 

When you go down the road today you see old barns, old cast off equipment on the side of the road, old beat up cars that have been deserted.  It's discouraging.  It does not promote LIFE.  It looks like everything is dying.  It's discouraging when you see old run down houses, run down farms, run down buildings, run down shops.  It tears you down.  It doesn't buoy you up.  Go down there where it'll turn you to rust.  It's going to be a beautiful place, and when Christ comes, we're going to sing out to the rocks with joy.  But we know that WAY OF LIFE we've been generating in and through us is going to be finally sent out to our loved ones and the rest of those we represent.  They're all going to called under that plan in the World Tomorrow, and be given Churches of God in which everyone worships the Great God on the Sabbath, and keeps His annual occasions  and no other occasions will be observed. 

It'll be the Passover, the Days of Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits, the Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and Great Day and there will be No others because they represent God's Great plan.  The whole World will be rehearsing this year by year believing more firmly in the Great Plan of God and anticipating their opportunity of coming on in and becoming permanent members of that Great Royal Family. 

Back there in Malachi 2 again 3.  (Malachi 3:17) …I will make them MY SPECIAL TREASURES, AND I WILL SPARE THEM, as a Man spares His own SON THAT SERVES HIM.  Oh, this is a Book about the MESSENGER.  IT SHOWS WHO RECOGNIZES HIM AND WHO FOLLOWS HIM AND WHO DOESN'T and it all has to do with GOVERNMENT, and LAW.  Some SPEAK AGAINST the LAW, and RELAX the LAW, and hurt others.  And SPEAK AGAINST THE LAW, and say, "God's table is corrupted and contemptible, and God's Way is too hard."  Others saying, "No, it's not.  Look what God is doing for us," and "Look what He's going to do for the Whole World as a result of our training now."  THEY are the JEWELS that trust God. 

As Mr. McNair used to say, I was over at the Feast in England in 1969.  I believe he always had this statement for many years.  He says, "You explain or complain?"  You can explain, but don't complain.  I think that's a good motto to follow.  Always be explaining don't ever complain.  Remember the old Israelites who complained consistently in the wilderness and God had to remove them.  So make sure everything, you are explaining.  It's explaining, never complaining.  So we're going to be the ones explain, the others are complaining.  LAODICEANS COMPLAIN, PHILADELPHIANS EXPLAIN.  I explain the Truth of God, the perfect, the perfection of God, the absolute Loyalty of God.  The absolute trustworthiness of God, that God is a trustworthy being above all that inhabits the Universe and He put on this Earth with a Great Purpose of becoming His Children. 

Verse 18: Then shall you return…  This is in the World Tomorrow.  So WE'LL HAVE 31/2 YEARS OF FINAL TRAINING.  Then shall you return and discern between the Righteous and the Wicked…  Notice that right away.  Notice what the LAODICEAN ATTITUDE DEVELOPS THIS LIBERALISM.  You know what develops, watering down everything.  Where THERE'S NOTHING CLEAR, it's neither right or Wrong.  But a TRUE PHILADELPHIAN knows what's right, or wrong.  IT'S RIGHT IF IT COMES FROM CHRIST THROUGH THE APOSTLE.  It's wrong if it doesn't and contradicts.  Some are wrong at the end, and some are not.  Hopefully most of those that are not are out, but we've got to stay on the team, and HOLD FAST.  Then after these Faithful few if you'll RECOGNIZE THE MESSENGER, and realize Christ is preparing through the Messenger for His second coming and they want to go all the way.  Then THEY are going to be SPARED as JEWELS, as a SPECIAL TREASURE from the Tribulation.  Then we're going to return to the land of Palestine and it says, Then you shall return, and discern between the Righteous and the Wicked…

You just analyze that attitude that crept in through the Liberals.  There's no way you could say this is wrong, and that's right.  It was all grey and in between.  They weren't teaching a way that's absolutely; it's either right or wrong.  They were watering everything down.  It's your opinion whatever you think.  They couldn't be qualifying for this.  Only those that KNOW where they are going, and KNOW who is in charge, and KNOW by which Authority, by Whose Authority it comes, and KNOW God is absolute.  As Paul says, Christ is not, Yea or Nay, but He's always Yea (2 Corinthians 1:19).  He doesn't whisper out of both sides of His lips different things. 

Then you shall return and discern between the Righteous, and the Wicked, between him that SERVES God and him that SERVES HIM NOT (Malachi 3:18).  Old God has to make it very PLAIN so He can have JEWELS THAT KNOW EXACTLY THIS IS SERVING GOD AND THAT'S NOT.  this is right, and that's wrong, not all this grey.  Huge Mindset, where no one knows what they ought to do, or who's in charge, or what ought to be done, OR WHAT IS THE WORK OF GOD?  Or, WHERE DOES GOD WORK?  All this is definite.

All right down in verse 4 (Malachi chapter 4), He says: Remember the Law of Moses MY Servant…  I heard Mr. Armstrong for about 32 years.  Do you know what the theme of his message always has been?  Remember the Law of God.  Now the (Name uncertain).  He lives up in Illinois, he didn't think this.  So he made one up there, but they've been hearing, I imagine, Mr. Armstrong about that long maybe longer, but the message has always been Law.  He says, Remember the Sabbath.  Remember the Holy Days.  Remember the Laws of Success, the Laws of Marriage, the Laws of Childrearing, on and on.  He's been preaching God's Law.  Then God says, "OK the one who will be telling the World, preparing for My coming, so Remember the Law, will be this Elijah to come." 

ELIJAH THE PROPHET

Verse 5:  BEHOLD I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the Great, and Dreadful day of the Eternal…  In other words, He says now remember the law.  Okay you're going to be in the church so you'll see this Elijah to come.  Who will come along and preach MY Law, Government and Law to the World.  BEHOLD I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the Great and Dreadful Day of the Eternal.  The Eternal does this specifically right here.  He preached these things in this one statement.  It cannot be the first Elijah.  It has to be a man AT THIS TIME.  All you read the context.  BEHOLD I will send you Elijah… not the person but one coming in the Spirit and the Power of Elijah, just like John the Baptist. 

When?  BEFORE, you know BEFORE means.  You really understand it on the Day of Atonement.  The Sun must set BEFORE you eat and drink.  You know what before means?  It comes BEFORE.  So this is talking about someone who comes just BEFORE the Day of the Lord.  Elijah died 3000 years ago.  John died 2000 years ago.  This is talking about someone who comes just BEFORE through whom Christ is preparing for His coming.  Because  the whole Book is about the MESSENGER through whom Christ is preparing for His coming, and the GROUP CALLED, some who don't recognize and follow him, and some who do, and do follow.  Some are delivered to be the Educators, and the others go into the Tribulation and THEY are the ones that recognize who is telling the World about God's Governing Law, and THEY RECOGNIZE THE MAN.  THE MESSENGER IS IN THE OFFICE OF ELIJAH.  He's coming in the same Spirit and Power that Elijah came in, and John the Baptist came in.  In other words, Christ is training for a particular job. 

It's very simple.  If you are going to hire an accountant, say you were going to raise up an accounting firm, and you want to start an accounting firm, wouldn't you hire people that went through the school of accounting.  That'd be logical, wouldn't it?  Why?  Because the school of accounting is geared to teach people, how to be accountants.  You wouldn't go out and say, "Well I want to develop an accounting firm, and all I'm going to do is look and see if people are sincere."  Go out and say, "Are you sincere?"  "Would you like to work at my accounting firm?"  "Yeah," so you hire him.  Get another one, "You look sincere.  Would you like to be in it?"  "  Oh sure," you don't ask about his qualifications, he comes in. so you hire your three but one went through the school of accounting the school of music and learned to play a flute and the other one went through the school of art and learned to be a modern artist.  So you come to your accounting firm.  Ones over here, working books, he's trying to concentrate and here's one over here playing the flute, up and down on the flute.  The other one's over here painting weird modern art.  Wouldn't be very successful, would you?  You'd want to make sure you hire only those that are trained for the same type of work. 

Now Christ is building for the Government, so all of us are going to be on the church division inside the Government of God, must work under the Elijah to do the same job, so that all must be trained by God's Spirit in the same manner.  So God trained Elijah to turn the Hearts of the Israelites back to God.  Then John the Baptist came in the Spirit and the Power of Elijah and turned the Hearts of the people to the True Christ at His coming.  Then Mr. Armstrong is coming in the Spirit and the Power of Elijah to turn the people to the True Christ, the True God, and worked in the SAME WAY, that Elijah, and John the Baptist did.  Why?  So when we're all together Elijah has under him a team always playing for the same Work.  Now Elijah didn't give long sermons, under Him will be Mr. Armstrong who will have the mechanics for best religion education.

Now Elijah could not relate to this World, no way.  He died 3000 years ago.  If you were to resurrect someone who'd only died 30 years ago, they couldn't grasp this world.  We talked the other day flying over to Tucson, what if Elijah were resurrected and saw a great big plane in the air, and somehow could look out of it and see the LA basin, with all the millions of lights.  He wouldn't, he couldn't understand it at all.  If a phone rang, and he picked it up, hear someone speaking, he wouldn't know what in the world that it is.  Say you can have the keys to the car.  "Car, what's that?"  So Elijah is going to be the one that has the over all direction, who has the great burning desire to turn everyone to God.  But he doesn't understand this generation. 

So God has raised some one up to be, to come in the same Spirit, and Power, who does understand this generation.  Mr. Armstrong understands this World better than all of the World Leaders wrapped together, did you know that?  That ought to be easy to understand, because they don't have the Spirit of God.  So they only see the World through Human Carnal eyes, but he has the Spirit of God which gives him a comprehension as to why nations are here.  Why they are the way they are, and what the future holds.  That's what's important.  So here's a man who's lived from 1892, from the horse and buggy age through the automobile age through the air age, the space age, the nuclear age.  He has a grasp, and seen all of these things come on the scene, printing, communication, the telephone, etc, pragmatic education, and all of the other nonsense.  So he has a grasp of this World and he would be dedicated to the same purpose for which Elijah was trained.  That's to turn the HEARTS OF PEOPLE TO GOD. 

John the Baptist came to turn the people's Hearts to God.  Now Mr. Armstrong is coming to turn the Hearts of God's people, first the Church, and he will have to start turning us back after he was raised from the death, because we were straying from God.  Our Hearts were no longer directed toward God, as an overall Church and those who were trying to be loyal were put down.  I know!  I had men, I'll tell you, who tried to intimidate me!  I mean, they were powerful men.  I had one, one time on the phone he said, "Why didn't you contact me when you first came back to Pasadena?"  Because I was trying to, this wasn't Garner Ted, incase you were wondering.  I said, "Well, I was just trying to respect you.  I didn't want to barge in, but I intended to contact you when I thought you weren't all tied down."  He said, "Well I'm angry, and you'll never leave Headquarters again, as long as I am here."  I didn't argue.  I just prayed silently so he wouldn't hear the prayer.  I said, well, I didn't say it ought to be but I said, "God grant me favor in his eyes."  He kept talking.  No, he just barely said, "as long as I am here you'll never leave Headquarters again."  He began to talk, and said, "Well maybe your tours did some good after all.  You know maybe they weren't so bad, well it might be all right once you go out."  That's where God just turned the screws, you see.  Because I know, God can make your enemies be at peace with you, if you believe.  You can't pray if you don't even know God is up there.  Though I don't even know He's up there, why should I pray anyway seeing He's not up there?  You can't get any answers to prayer like that. 

This same man one time called me into his office.  He showed stacks of paper in his desk and he said, "Gerald, these are problems in the Work of God.  Unless Herbert Armstrong quits spending all this time overseas visiting these World Leaders claiming he's fulfilling some kind of commission, which he is not, and gets back here, and solves these problems, this Work is going to fold up in 6 months."  I didn't argue with him.  I just didn't believe him.  I went into the prayer room, and opened up to Revelation 3, which I've been preaching, He said, "None can shut the door" and God I prefer to believe you  And one thing too I knew if I went to the prayer rooms, they'd never find me.  That was the safest place on the campus.  No one would ever expect to find anyone in the prayer rooms.  Well that was the salvation that got a few of us through I'll guarantee you. 

Now my statement back then was "Mr. So & So," I said, "Jesus Christ is the Living Head of this Church, and we must trust Him to solve the problems."  Do you know his retort was, "Well I know that Jesus is the Head of the Church, BUT WE'VE got to do something about it."  I never thought I'd ever have to do anything about His being the Head of the Church.  So He's up there saying, "Where's Judas, I can't get any help from him Father, I'm waiting on some help."  Boy, if He needs some help from me, He is in terrible shape.  My help's run low.  I don't have enough to spare.  I don't know if it would do Him all that much good.  I'm wondering about it for myself.  Wheaties just might help Bruce Jenner, but I don't think we'll help Christ.  I was in this man's office another time.  He said, I had already been through the mill, I don't know how many offices then they'd say, "They no longer believe and teach the things you believe and teach."  I finally began to run out of people.  I wonder who they were.  I finally realized who they were.  I was in his office one day, he said, "Gerald" he says, "We no longer believe and teach the things you believe and teach." He said, "In fact you are all screwed up in your head, and unless you let me and this other Evangelist give you Spiritual Therapy, you are gone."  You better believe I had some basic scriptures in my mind that could have bombed me out.

Those were the two most powerful men in God's Work at the time under Mr. Armstrong and He was traveling. They were there doing their own thing.  You better believe that some of us have had to put these scriptures to the active test.  But God always backs them up because the scripture is the power unto Salvation unto those who believe.  You've got to believe in it.  (Continuing in Malachi 4:5)  BEHOLD, I will send you Elijah the Prophet BEFORE…  that's  just BEFORE.  …the Day of the Lord.  It cannot be Elijah, because he will not come up in a resurrection till after the Day of the Lord has passed.  That's when it's court, not before, but during.  Elijah come up at the Last Trump, there are seven Trumpets blown during the Day of the Lord.  There's the Tribulation, the Heavenly signs, the Day of the Lord.  During the Day of the Lord, there's seven Trumpets blown, and Christ comes at the LAST Trump, and that's when the dead in Christ rise.  So he's talking about some one who comes BEFORE so it cannot be the Elijah back then, but it one who's after him to come on the scene Christ comes THROUGH WHOM CHRIST PREPARES for His second coming.  He's the MESSENGER.  And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the Heart of the Children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the Earth with a curse (verse 6).  Powerful scriptures. 

That scripture's so powerful you wouldn't believe that without any reservation YOU WOULD SEE THE ABSOLUTE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT CHRIST IS DOING THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG.  He says, "If I didn't have this man I would smite the Earth with destruction."  The word curse comes from a Greek word, a Hebrew word that's translated in Zechariah 14, verse 11, utter destruction.  In other words, God is saying, "If I didn't have this man I would smite the Earth with utter destruction."  Do you know how I know Mr. Armstrong is alive up in Denver today?  The Earth has not been struck with utter destruction.  I don't have to check up, and call every day to Tucson, "Is he still alive?"  I just know that if I'm still alive, he is.  If he's dead, we're all dead.  So you wouldn't have to ask the question.  I wouldn't have to answer that.  So long as you are alive, you know he is.  Because God says, "If I didn't have him I would smite the Earth with utter destruction." 

Every morning you wake up, you realize he's out there too.  Sure glad he's alive, because I've got another day too.  If you're ever destroyed, you'll know why.  So then, if you are can from your grave open your eyes that's why we've all been destroyed because Mr. Armstrong died.  Then you can discuss it one with the other.  No, the dead know not anything.  There's no school in the grave.  There's no wisdom there or Knowledge of God in the grave.  God says the dead know nothing, NOT anything.  I read that scripture years ago, and I said what a beautiful descriptive scripture.  God is so explicit when He says the dead know not anything.  I said how beautiful.  When you look around and see how little the living know then you can know the dead could know nothing.  One step below us is nothing.  No, we're less than nothing, so one-step below that is less than less than nothing.

So He says And He shall turn the Heart of the Fathers to the Children, and the children to the Fathers…  Do you know why that Mr. Armstrong is very concerned about YOU, YES, SEP, and YOUTH 81, because of this prophecy that cannot be broken.  Christ says through this Elijah to come, this MESSENGER, "I will turn the Heart of the Fathers to the Children and the children to their Fathers lest I come and smite the Earth with destruction, utter destruction."  The Family is the basic building block of society.  So he's got to teach, why male and female, why marriage, why family, why childrearing.  Why, how you put the basic family unit together then how you put all them together, by Churches of God, to unite everyone under God, and by education to bind them together to build a worldwide society in the World Tomorrow, of which the family is the basic building block.

Mr. Armstrong wrote after the Feast of Tabernacles, and he said, "God put in my mind during the Feast of Tabernacles, we need another Magazine.  He we've decided to call it YOUTH 81 and it's going to be strictly geared to those between 12 and 19."  Or 12 to 19, or through 19, either a little older or younger is fine.  But he said here are some of the articles.  He said now, "Even though I'm approaching 90 years of age, don't ever get the idea I'm an old man."  He says, "I have some very young thoughts, but because of all the experience God has given me, and with God's wisdom I'm able to choose the better values for young people."  Then when young people begin to see what this elderly man and the staff under him are able to give them that they cannot get from their peer group or from the World.  They'll say, "Boy, if we continue in this WAY then we can learn and be leaders and help others in the World Tomorrow and have an out going concern, not the, we don't care for the rest of you, let's all eat drink, pick up dope, and perish.  That's not outgoing concern.  That's lust selfishness, and greed. 

But if young people love the rest of their kind, and who are out here groping in the dark, they'll say, Boy we're called for a TREASURE, because our parents are in the Church of God, then we're SANCTIFIED.  We're set apart.  So we have the opportunities of learning where other young people don't, and if we prove we appreciate that, we could go to a PLACE OF FINAL TRAINING, and be a part of that.  A beginning of Tomorrow's Society, and help pioneer over into the WORLD TOMORROW, and give this WAY to those in our own peer level, and help rescue, and LEAD THEM out into the RIGHT WAY, and be of service, and be different from the average will of man, a young person that's all deceived that does not have this chance.  What an opportunity!  No young people in the history of the World have ever had the opportunity of our young people and yet, they're in the worst World it's ever been.  The pulls are greater, the drug addiction, the rampant misuse of sex, and everything else that could be put to right use within God's Law.  They're given the privilege of learning a NEW WAY, a REFRESHING WAY, a WAY THAT BUILDS UP, A WAY that has VALUE to it.  A WAY that can CONTINUE FOREVER and they are given that opportunity of being PIONEERS.  That's why God is reopening Imperial School.  He had to stop everything, because it was all OFF THE TRACK. 

He couldn't put the College with Bricketwood, and Big Sandy going in full force.  He had to cut all of that, and Imperial Schools, and get the Locomotive ON THE TRACK first.  Then put Ambassador College ON THE TRACK BEHIND THE APOSTLE, and then put Headquarters, and Imperial school in line with that.  Then raise up Big Sandy so it's ON THE TRACK, AND FOLLOWING WHAT GOD HAS PUT BACK ON THE TRACK.  And then get the new Imperial schools raised up, and keep it going.  THIS TIME we're not going to tolerate nonsense.  When people want to take over the Work, he boots them out.  Because we have enough evidence to see, WHY WE NEED STRONG GOVERNMENT AND WHY WE MUST FOLLOW GOD AND CHRIST THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG or we're not on the team.  Then God deals with great force.  He's going to before too long I'll guarantee you.  Because there's enough evidence and WE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE NOW TO REPEAT THE MISTAKES OF THE PAST.  BECAUSE WE CAN LOOK BACK AND SEE WHAT ALL THESE MISTAKES HAVE PRODUCED IN THE WRONG RESULT, AND SO WE'RE MORE ACCOUNTABLE.

He who knows more and doesn't do it is beaten with greater stripes, than he that knew less.  So God has to get tough, to finally get a group He KNOWS will go all the way, and then let others go into the tribulation to teach them a lesson.  So these are absolute!  Do you know WHAT THE TEST IS?  Do you believe God tells the Truth, or does He lie?  Are you with Adam and Eve and Satan, or with Christ and Mr. Armstrong?  Are you a part of pioneering a NEW WAY for the World Tomorrow, or are you still believing the same old nonsense that Satan deluded the Angels, Adam, and Eve, and the Whole World's been caught up in?  THAT'S THE TEST.  You got to believe GOD SPEAKS THE TRUTH, and will not lie.  That the scripture cannot be broken and that the Work of God is done through the one HE HAS SENT, not through self-appointed, you know individuals.  I know where I learned the Truth.  I learned it by Mr. Armstrong, THAT IS GOD THROUGH Mr. ARMSTRONG.  I didn't learn it from someone else, back in the early '50's, late '40's, early '50's. 

All right, Matthew 17 is a scripture along this.  Let's go to Luke 1, right quick, Luke 1 verse 17.  This is the Spirit and Power of Elijah, first of all coming through John the Baptist, as he prepares for Christ's first coming, and then through Mr. Armstrong, now as the ELIJAH TO COME now, through whom Christ is preparing for His second coming.  And in verse 17, He says, And he shall go before Him in the Spirit and Power of Elijah, to turn the Hearts of the Fathers to the Children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, and to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.  Now John prepared a few for Christ through His first coming.  Now Mr. Armstrong is being used to prepare a WHOLE Church and all the Israelites for Christ at His second coming. 

Can't you see the difference in the preparation?  It's a Worldwide Work now!  It was only a very limited work in the Jordan valley then to prepare a few to follow a physical Christ.  Now, Christ is PREPARING THROUGH AN AGENT UNDER HIM, the ELIJAH TO COME, to get a whole department for Education ready then to deal with the rest of the Israelites who will finally come to repent, and want to follow Jesus Christ to the land of Palestine, make a New Covenant with Him, and become His People.  Mr. Armstrong is in that position of coming in the Spirit and Power of Elijah.  If were over in Big Sandy the other day, you saw a lot of that Spirit and Power manifested. 

All right, let's turn over here to Revelation, now I want to breeze through a few areas and we're over time now.  Oh well my watch is not.  It's going backwards, the only reason it's not.  OK, Revelation 3 the first part shows the Sardis Era was dead back when Mr. Armstrong was called into contact with it.  But God sparked an approach by Mr. Armstrong to try to disprove the Sabbath, which in turn proved God, His Word, and the Sabbath, and the Holy Days through Mr. Armstrong and finally, he was conquered by God, and surrendered to Him in 1927.  Then God gave him seven years to fuss with that, before He raised up the Philadelphia Era through him.  Then for years, He kept it small to give the Leader this exceptional training, and keeping a few under him and so Mr. Armstrong had all this additional training before the Work began to mushroom Worldwide.  Then if anyone who has an EYE TO SEE, SHOULD HAVE SEEN, they should realize all the experience, expertise, and training, Christ has given to the Leader.  So NO ONE should have gotten the big head, thinking he was more qualified to run the Work than the Apostle.  But a lot of them did.  THEY LOST PERSPECTIVE.  They lost where they were called, and what was done before, and what God has predicted would continue to be done. 

I didn't read Matthew 17, verse 11, but you can read that.  It says Christ said before His Second Coming He would send Elijah the Prophet, and he would restore ALL things, powerful scriptures.  So God has given him the foundation of all things, the Bible and through the Bible, he's raised up a Religious and Educational program to carry over through a PLACE OF FINAL TRAINING, and have a team based on This word.  That KNOWS how to worship God, and knows how to relate to their neighbor and that will become the core around which Christ begins to build the society in the World Tomorrow.  He said, when He started that process through the Modern Day Elijah, He would restore ALL things.

There is poof that Mr. Armstrong is continuing in this work.  You can't restore ALL things if the one you're working through is dead.  Get the point.  He said I will restore ALL things through him.  I will prepare the WAY for my second coming through him.  He's the MESSENGER.  He's the one that leads the people to a PLACE OF FINAL TRAINING, and leads them into the Kingdom, all kinds of types, and promises. 

THIS IS OUR JOB

All right, verse 7, of Revelation 3.  Now this is our Job Description.  This is to us.  Inspired 2000 years ago, but recorded way back in the Master Plan before Adam, and Eve were put on the face of the Earth.  We're called Philadelphians.  Do you know WHY?  That means Brotherly Love.  That's what Philadelphia means.  God is Love, and going to build a World of Love.  He's training a few people in advance to KNOW THAT WAY FIRST, how to Love Him by religious control.  That's the form, or WAY to Worship God on the Sabbath, the annual occasions, to have a relationship so you continue to grow and to form a relationship to God, and Christ, then with one another in that context.  As John said our fellowship is first with God the Father, and then with Jesus Christ, and then with one another in that context. 

Some people tell me if you love me you'll come out, why don't you sit here with me because they're the ones that step out of the relationship that they were called into.  You and I wouldn't be anywhere probably if it weren't for God's Work, Get the point.  So if you step out of the Work, you're the one who commits the crime, not one who is still in position, that established a relationship.  This nonsense of Satan come along trying to make it look like, trying to condemn God's people for being Loyal is a lot of Satanic, you know, deception.  He comes as an angel of Light but he's out to destroy.  I had some good friends leave.  When they left they said of course aren't you going to be friends.  No, you stepped out of what made us friends in the first place.  You and I would never have known one another had not we been called into this Work.  Now when you left the work, you broke the relationship, not I.  Make it PLAIN. 

You just don't budge.  STICK WITH GOD, STICK WITH CHRIST, AS THEY WORK THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG.  Then we'll be a part of this group that understands Love, and can then be used to teach the rest of the World.  …These things, Saith He that is Holy and True (Revelation 3:7)…  Oh, what a beautiful promise.  In other words, THE TEST IS, DO WE BELIEVE CHRIST CANNOT LIE AND CANNOT BREAK A PROMISE.  He says I'm Holy and True, and I'm the Head of the Church.  Therefore when you criticize the WAY I'm running MY Church and MY Work, you're denying that I'm Holy and True and know what I'm doing, and that all things work for good for those who Love God.  But you must wait upon the Lord until He gives the victory.  Just like the legal thing I mentioned earlier, some who left were not around to observe the Day of Thanksgiving, get the point.  AND SOME WILL NOT BE IN THE WEDDING SUPPER, GET THE POINT.  BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE WITH CHRIST ALL THE WAY TILL THE END. 

He's Holy and True, and He says He has the Key of David.  The Key of David is the Throne of David.  Christ says the Throne can be used like a Key.  A Key is a symbol of opening and closing and will use this from the Throne of David to open up True Religion and True education to the Whole World.  No one's going to stop him.  He's going to close off to make that possible Satan's false WAY.  The only way you can change the World is to have the power to stop, and shut off Satan's WAY, and to make sure it can never be reopened.  Then to have the RIGHT WAY to replace it with so you can change the course of conduct on the Earth.  That's what He's telling us.  I'm Holy and True, and you're going to become Philadelphians, and KNOW my Fathers WAY of Love.  Then I can extend it out to others through you and I'm Holy and True to that Purpose.  And I have the Key of David, and I open and no one shuts, and I shut and no one opens (Revelation 3:7).  So I'm going to do a thorough job.  Stick with Me, and you'll see it fulfilled. 

I know your works, verse 8, behold I have set before you an open door and no one can shut it…  That's a scripture I relied on.  This man said Mr. Armstrong doesn't need it, if he doesn't get back to work the Work is going to fold up in 6 months.  I believed this.  He's gone.  Mr. Armstrong is still visiting world Leaders, and the Work hasn't folded up.  It does pay to believe God.  LET GOD BE TRUE, AND EVERY MAN A LIAR.  …I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it, for you have a little strength…  I'll tell you how little we do have, our Leader has already been dead once.  And here look at us, all around the World the weak of the World.  Except Mr. Smith, you know there's a strong one, but there's too many of us to pull him down.  So it don't really count.  …you have a little strength, and you have kept my Word…  THAT'S WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO GOD.  …you have kept my Word and not denied My Name…  THAT'S THE IMPORTANT THING.  WHEN YOU DENY GOD'S NAME, YOU FOLLOW ADAM AND EVE UNDER SATAN'S INFLUENCE, BY DENYING GOD.  YOU DENY GOD, BY DENYING HE'S TELLS THE TRUTH, AND SPEAKS THE TRUTH AND IS GOING TO BACK UP WHAT HE SAID.  THAT'S DENYING GOD.  YOU DENY HIM IN WORKS. 

Do you know what Titus said, Titus 1:16.  They profess that they know God, but in WORKS THEY DENY HIM, being abominable and unto every good work reprobate.  THE WAY YOU DENY GOD GOD'S NAME IS DENY HIM BY WORKS.  All the professing in the World won't count unless you do what He tells you.  …and you have kept my Word, and not denied my Name…  Then as Christ leads the Israelites out of the North Country, and out of other countries which they have been dispersed into the land of Palestine to come into a ready-made society.  He's going to say, "Now hear MY Servant, you know Mr. Armstrong and his team, now I went you to prove that you want to worship My Father, and Love your neighbor the WAY I'll teach you through them.  So bow down and they'll show you how to Love My Father, and how to Love your neighbor."  Then you'll get them ready, and then through them you begin to address the Gentiles until the Whole World is absorbed in God's WAYS. 

Verse 10, to get us ready, He promises protection during the Tribulation, to give us an opportunity of Pioneering Gods' WAY, and getting ready for the World Tomorrow.  Then verse 11 He says, Behold I come quickly, HOLD THAT FAST WHICH YOU HAVE, THAT NO MAN TAKE YOUR CROWN.  I have had to hit that scripture repeatedly for I guess about 8 years now, since the '74 Rebellion on the East Coast.  Because people are going along, they started this back in the late '60's.  This just lets you know some of the garbage that was beginning to be spawned out in Pasadena, and spread on the East Coast through a man over there, and through his region, infecting a whole region.  Their basic tenets were, "You can't really prove that this is Philadelphia.  You can't prove this is the Church.  Therefore you can't be sure of this Herbert Armstrong, and He's getting kind of old, looks like he might die, so we better select a group of young men and get a committee, a counsel where there is safety intellectually, Hebrew Scholars, Historians, the Learned Men with PHD's, DDT's, LLV's, and PDL's, and whatever else, and have safety.  Don't rely upon this old man, he's about to die anyway." 

So I had to follow them out, and say God commands every Philadelphian.  Of course, I'd show them He's absolute, back in Malachi, Mathew 17, elsewhere, that God has promised to Work through that man to train us for Christ's Second Coming.  I said, "Don't doubt that God can keep him alive.  He's already proved that He can keep a man alive 969 years in the person of Methuselah.  So if Mr. Armstrong needs 900 more, God can give it."  I just hope He doesn't need that much because I can't find that I have a promise to live that long myself.  And I would like to be with him when we enter the Kingdom.  So I said, "Now God commands," and I'd read these scriptures.  "Now God commands the right of all the rest that you HOLD FAST to what you have."  Because the Rebels are going to come along and say, TURN LOOSE OF HERBERT ARMSTRONG, TURN LOOSE OF PASADENA CA, TURN LOOSE OF ERAS OF THE CHURCH, TURN LOOSE OF A PLACE OF SAFETY, and don't fall for this nonsense!  This old man thinks he's preaching the Gospel by traveling around to these World Leaders.  That was their basic quotes. 

But Christ commands Philadelphians, DON'T LISTEN!  DON'T LOOK RIGHT OR LEFT, BUT STRAIGHT AHEAD, AND REALIZE I AM THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH. THIS IS MY PURPOSE FOR THE PHILADELPHIA ERA.  But Satan is very subtle, very wily, very wise, so don't let him come with all this nonsense, and say, "Do you know what's going on over here, or over here, or do you know what's going on out there," to shatter your confidence in God, WORKING BY CHRIST THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG.  Shatter your confidence in the PURPOSE that's being worked out here below at this time.  They want the person to lose his confidence in Christ being the Head of the Church, AND WORKING THROUGH ONLY MR. ARMSTRONG being opened to all kinds of surmisings and ramblings that take him off and away from this Work.  I'VE HAD TO FOLLOW MANY OF THESE REBELLIONS AROUND BECAUSE THEY ALL LOSE SIGHT OF THE BASICS THAT ARE ANCHORING. 

There are three things you've better be anchored too.  Do you know what an anchor is?  I've spent 5 years in the US Navy.  Do you know WHY we anchor a ship?  To keep it from drifting.  So we must be ANCHORED too, first THE ABSOLUTE POSITION THAT CHRIST IS FULFILLING THOUGH THE APOSTLE.  That cannot be broken, so you're anchored on course, so you cannot drift away.  So it is the absolute promise to the Philadelphia Era that it was raised up by Christ through Mr. Armstrong to be a means to build him a team under him, to support him in this Work of reaching the World, and in RE-educating the World in the World Tomorrow.  Thirdly, the ABSOLUTE PROMISE OF PROTECTION FOR FINAL TRAINING during the last 3 ½ years so we can all be blended together and God can mix all of his people together and make the lot of them integrate by bringing them under the same way of life.  Take all the Australians out of Australia, and DE-Australize them.  Take all the South Africans out of South Africa, and DE-South Africanize them.  Take all the Americans out of America, and DE-Americanize them and all the English out of England, and DE-Eglishize them and all the Scotts out of Scotland, and DE-Scotts them.  That might take 3 ½ years to dry them out. 

Then when we're together 3 ½ years based on this Word under God, we really become a society that KNOWS God, Worships God, and Praises Him, and don't have reservations about Him.  Then the other 6 days a week, we KNOW how to relate to our neighbor and True Values just build up.  We have such an appreciation for that WAY and a desire, we want to extend over and pass it out to others, because we have out going concern to help them in the World Tomorrow to become a part of this Great Program in God's Family.  That should be our Purpose! 

Then He says in verse 12, Him that overcometh…  DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE OVERCOMING IS?  NOT LETTING ANYTHING TURN YOU AWAY FROM WHERE CHRIST WORKS.  So you're always in line with Christ and you're on His team.  Therefore, He's blessing you, because you're on the team.  that's the overcoming!  THE OVERCOMING IS NOT TURNING LOOSE, HOLDING FAST TO WHAT YOU HAVE, WHAT THEY SENT.  The Leader had a Strong Arm.  God KNOWS that he could HOLD FAST, and he would do his part.  He didn't call a weakling, and say, "He can't hold on."  And Christ said, "He can't hold on he's got a Weak Arm."  He's an Armstrong.  He's got a Strong Arm!  He's a fighter!  He'll hang in there!  So I want to build a group of Strong individuals, Philadelphians, who will HOLD FAST.  He will not fall for all the assembly of Satan.  That says, "Comer over here, and follow this man, or that man, or this group, or that group, and leave this only man who's just dangling."  Say, "Oh no, I believe in the promises God has made and the man."  This one that God is speaking about, the one that was PREPARING THE WAY, The MESSENGER coming in the Spirit, and Power of ELIJAH, the modern day ZERUBBABEL, building a Spiritual Temple to which Christ comes, He's going to fill it with Glory.  That's going to be more Glorious than Solomon's Temple, AND HE'S THE ONE THAT CHRIST WORKS THROUGH AND I KNOW THAT AND I'M GOING TO HANG ON.  THAT'S THE HOLDING FAST.  But that does take Faith.  That doesn't come by sight, that comes by Faith, and believing the scriptures.  I've gone through these basic ones.  There are a LOT more, but I can't cover them all.  I'm more than later than I wanted to be. 

All right then.  Him that overcometh, verse 12, will I make a pillar…  Do you know what a pillar is?  Not a pillow, I've seen some go out and make good pillows.  This is a pillar.  That's a support that holds up the building.  Boy, there's some around here, aren't there?  There's a couple or three pillars back there.  You know what they do, they hold up.  In the over all Temple, the Pillars support the structure.  You can have all the makings of a Temple without the pillars.  It wouldn't do you any good at all.  It would fall right on the ground.  It's kind of like having the tent without the poles.  It falls on the ground and it starts raining.  You're out on the tent getting wet.  Your neighbor comes over and he says, "What you need is a tent."  You say, "I've got one."  "Where is it?"  "I'm standing on it."  "Well, why aren't you under it?"  "Don't have any poles to put it up."  You see the poles make all the difference in being wet or dry. 

So there's no way Christ can put this whole Government administration together without the pillars, because THEY'RE THE KEY to make everything else work.  THEY'RE THE ONES THAT KNOW THE FOUNDATION OF THAT WORLD TO COME.  They're the ones that KNOW the Structure.  The society must be structured under the Father by religious control and THEY'VE ALREADY PROVED THAT RELATIONSHIP.  Secondarily the whole Human race must be bound together to True Values.  That's going to be brought in by Educational Control.  That's why we're called pillars in the Temple, because the rest of it would not work except for this and that's WHY Christ said, "Unless I have this ELIJAH, I would smite the Earth with utter destruction."  He already has Abraham and all of the others, but He says, "Without him it can't be." 

Do you know what Paul said in Hebrews 12?  He says, "We're called to a better resurrection."  And those other could not be made perfect without us, Get the Point.  He's talking about the New Testament Age.  This is the KEY TO MAKE THE WHOLE THING WORK.  THAT CHRIST IS NOW PREPARING THROUGH MR. ARMSTRONG AND THE PHILADELPHIANS, THE WAY TO BEGIN TO ADDRESS MILLIONS AT THE OUTSET OF THE WORLD TOMORROW.  He's calling representative numbers from around the World.  Give those that will go all the way, a place, an option of the opportunity.  I shouldn't say, not the option, but the opportunity once they've qualified to go to a PLACE OF FINAL TRAINING to be put together, to become a society TO FORM THE CORE AROUND WHICH A WORLDWIDE SOCIETY IS BUILT and God must put all the ingredients in that society in us to make properly a Worldwide society. 

Just like, you must put into a seed all the makings to produce an item of fruit.  You can't get an item of fruit unless all the potential is put in that seed.  You cannot get, you might get less than the potential, but you'll never get more.  You can't get more than what that seed can promote.  You can get less without proper cultivation, proper watering, and proper weather, but you can't get more.  So God must invest in us all the potential to give rise to a World Wide society.  Which is first of all, a Family that will BELIEVE GOD THAT BELIEVES GOD'S WORD IS FINAL AND ABSOLUTE AND THAT GOD WILL NEVER LIE, AND NEVER BREAK HIS WORD, NEVER BREAK A PROMISE.  Then people who have lived by that, allowing Christ to mold them and weld them together, from all around the World and finally to one PLACE OF TRAINING, so He'll have the core that will give Him the potential to deal with the rest of mankind.  He's got to make sure this core is solid and right and has all the right ingredients.  He is, it's just a matter of we HOLD ON AND GET OUR CROWN.

HOLDING FAST

So He says, Behold, I come quickly, HOLD THAT FAST WHICH YOU HAVE, that no man take your crown.  You've got to do your part and when He says, "Him that Overcometh," that is not turning loose.  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the Temple of my God, and he shall go no more out, and I will write upon him the Name of My God…  Now Brethren we need to analyze.  You know, God will never let anyone bear his name who does not believe in it.  When you come in someone's name, you come by His Authority AND GOD WILL LET NO ONE REPRESENT HIM UNLESS THEY BELIEVE HIM ABSOLUTELY. 

So the Philadelphians, after we have qualified, served with Christ for 1100 years when the Father comes down He's going to let us represent Him from Headquarters.  Because He KNOWS we are totally Loyal, totally Dedicated that WE HAVE PROVED IN THIS AGE, when the proving gets difficult, that WE KNOW GOD WILL NOT LIE AND GOD WILL NOT BREAK A PROMISE AND THE WORD OF GOD IS SURE AND ABSOLUTE.  Then when God commits to us, the rest of His Family He's going to KNOW what they are taught, because He KNOWS the Educators are absolute, and THEY WON'T BUDGE, and THEY'LL TEACH HIS WAY WITH STRENGTH.  The good part, the rest of the Family is going to respond.  But GOD HAS GOT TO KNOW THAT THOSE THAT TEACH, TEACH HIS WAY AND NOT THEIR OWN IDEAS. 

…and I will write upon him the Name of My God, and the Name of the City of My God, which is New Jerusalem, which comes down out of Heaven from My God and I will write upon him my new Name.  Now this is after the plan.  Christ comes.  He has this Government.  He has the Whole world gets it in order.  He has a World Wide Society, and all nations under ONE Government.  Then in that context, all the Generations born during the Millennium, grow up and Qualify to join that WAY OF LIFE permanently.  If they don't they are put them to death.  Most of them will. 

Then by the time the Millennium's over, He'll have the Family built down to Junior level.  Then He'll resurrect the rest of those, who have already proved by experience, SATAN'S WAY cannot be made to work.  They come up to see the evidence GOD'S WAY works perfectly well.  There will be billions around attesting to the worth of that WAY.  Then they'll be given 100 years to PROVE that they want to walk in that WAY forever.  Then when they PROVE that by the end of the 100 years, they'll be changed to Spirit.  Those who don't will be burned in the Lake of Fire.  Then there will be a New Earth in which only the Family of God dwells no Rebels around.  They've been removed by Fire.  They're not in the Family of God to go on into Eternity. 

Then the Father comes down out of Heaven with the Headquarters City.  And Christ in a very Regal Royal Slenderous Ceremony yields the Family up to the Father.  At which time the Father bestows upon Christ a New Name.  Now He's not fed up with Jesus Christ but He Names things commensurate with their position.  By then Christ will have this, be qualified to receive this New Name which will have to included at least six names probably a lot more. Jesus Christ, second unto the father, and qualified to be there, because He prepared everything to present the Father.  Therefore, under the Father He is qualified to manage everything.  So the Name keeps everyone absolutely mindful as to WHY He and no one else is qualified for the executive position under the Father.  So NO ONE EVER LOSES SIGHT of why that one member of the family of the Children who is right under the Father, the Executive through whom everything comes from the Father, The One that directly represents His Father. 

Then He bestows upon us the Commission of going out to TEACH WHAT THE FATHER AND HE, TEACH US FIRST AT HEADQUARTERS.  So we enter that City with Christ, and we see our Father in action.  There can be no greater privilege than to be called among the FIRST FRUITS and among the FIRST FRUITS to be those who TEACH THE WAY OF GOD.  You see the WAY OF GOD Living is Paramount to the WAY God produces a City, or develops Agriculture, or Builds anything that's such a mechanical thing.  That is a Procedure.  That is a Method that we are going to have to do with GOD'S WAY OF LIFE.  GOD'S WAY OF LIFE IS PARAMOUNT TO EVERYTHING ELSE.  GOD DOES everything else because of the WAY HE LIVES because it's an extension of that being who has this particular WAY OF LIFE, this particular outlook, this particular direction.  He always builds and produces to complement and to build upright, never take from it. 

Now those who have this responsibility, of teaching how you Worship God and how you Love your Neighbor, have one of the demanding responsibilities BECAUSE IT CAN'T BE ALMOST THE WAY GOD THINKS.  IT CAN'T BE ALMOST THE WAY GOD LIVES.  IT'S GOT TO BE RIGHT ON THE MARK, GET THE POINT.  God's on the track.  It's his WAY, that's always been.  CHRIST HAS NEVER GOTTEN OFF THE TRACK.  MR. ARMSTRONG HAS NEVER GOTTEN OFF THE TRACK but because he committed certain things to another who DID GET OFF THE TRACK, while he was reaching World Leaders, the WHOLE CHURCH GOT OFF THE TRACK.  So God raised the Apostle with him and said, "Put My Church Back on the Track, and keep it there.  Because you can never teach, first of all be used to build MY Family under Me and My Son and keep it on that track, unless you are on there first."  So we're on the Track AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE THERE, BECAUSE THE APOSTLE'S LOCKED IN, AND THOSE THAT HOLD FAST WITH HIM, GO IN WITH HIM. 

Then we see the Father in action and He's setting the example, by example and by teaching.  Then we'll see that Jesus Christ is right on the track of His Father, as though the TWO ARE ONE, RIGHT IN LINE, and in step with His Father.  Then we will be right on that SAME TRACK, showing we absolutely support the Father and Jesus Christ and will put their WAY OF LIFE INTO GROUP ACTION, under their watch.  So we can be used then to extend it out to others.  Then when we see our Father in action He's going to be the example to the Whole Family, the Ultimate in Life and Doing and we'll see that Jesus Christ fully supports Him 100%, all the time.  Then we will take that beautiful example under their Wise Supervision and scrutiny and put it into GROUP ACTION, until it meets their approval.  Then when it meets their approval, they'll give us the ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY TO TEACH THE REST OF THE FAMILY, billions under Him.  That are there because they've been brought into the Family by Jesus Christ through His Educational Team that controls the World Wide Society.  That has to do with their Living and Qualifying to become permanent members. 

Then once it meets God's approval, We will BEAR HIS NAME.  That's what it says here.  I'll tell you some people are going to weep, and gnash their teeth, and realize that you've been called up a mountain of precious Gold in God's eyes.  Some people are turning their backs on it AND I'LL TELL YOU, GOD ALMIGHTY IS GOING TO SHAKE THIS CHURCH UNTIL HE GETS JEWELS OUT OF IT.  WHAT I'M TELLING, IS SOMETHING THAT MIGHT SAVE YOU FROM ETERNAL DESTRUCTION.  Because I'll tell you I've had the experience, and I've seen many Top Men go off, and I've seen many people and I see EXACTLY WHERE THEY BEGIN TO GO OFF.  That's why I hit that area and I do it all around the World because I would like to see you in the Family of God.  I certainly want to be there too and I'm not going to be there by doing my own thing, and never will you.  I'll tell you I STAND IN AWE OF THE POSITION GOD HAS PUT MR. ARMSTRONG AND I SEE THE FATHER AND CHRIST BEHIND HIM. 

I don't teach this because he tells us, although I do stay in that with that area.  But God has taught me by turning people all around the World back to Him through that system.  So I can do it first of all because I'm subject to God's Government, secondarily because I KNOW WHERE I GOT THE MESSAGE FROM, VERY IMPORTANT.  Now here God says, "Now this group I will get you to Bear My Name."  That's what He's saying, and the Name of the City of My God to bear the Name of New Jerusalem.  There will be many Cities, a City for every Nation, but the Headquarters City will be for the Government of God, where the Father and Christ and the Government of God dwell.  There will be 12 Gates through which the Rule goes out to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, All Spirit Beings then.  Then on through them to the Gentile Nations, No longer Gentiles but coming from that configuration for the training program and God will always keep His Headquarters in line with Him.  He's got to make sure those in the Headquarters are strong, and will never let the other Quarters get out of line.  Then you've got to make sure the other Quarters want to stay in line, Get the Point. 

So then, when He teaches through Christ to us, He has a WILLING GROUP OF FAMILY MEMBERS, who say, "We want to walk in the Light of the Headquarters City, where we know you are Servants,
